Sharing false information online can have legal consequences in the Philippines:

• 𝗖𝘆𝗯𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝗰𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝟮𝟬𝟭𝟮 (RA 10175)
Punishes cyber libel or spreading harmful false information online.

• 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗹𝗲 𝟭𝟱𝟰 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗣𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗱𝗲
Penalizes publishing fake news that may cause panic or public disorder.

𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗟𝗲𝗴𝗶𝘀𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗔𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱–𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲):

• Bills like 𝗦.𝗕. 𝟱𝟰𝟳, 𝗛.𝗕. 𝟬𝟮𝟵𝟳𝟭, and 𝗛.𝗕. 𝟬𝟵𝟰𝟮𝟮 aim to amend 𝗥𝗔 𝟭𝟬𝟭𝟳𝟱 (𝗖𝘆𝗯𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝗰𝘁) to include fake news as a cybercrime.
• Proposed penalties are stricter for public officials, journalists, and influencers, especially when using automated systems.
• The 𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗶-𝗙𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗡𝗲𝘄𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝗰𝘁 is a priority measure to fight online disinformation nationwide.
• 𝗛.𝗕. 𝟬𝟮𝟯𝟭𝟮 (𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱) seeks to criminalize the unauthorized creation and spread of deceptive deepfakes.

This meaningful initiative is proudly organized by Caybiga Sulong Integridad (CSI), in partnership with the Supreme Secondary Learners Government (SSLG), SPTA, and the students of 12 HUMSS A & B of Caybiga High School — all coming together with one mission: to share not just food, but hope, knowledge, and love.
