✨ “The Filipino is worth dying for.” — Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino Jr. 🇵🇭

Today, we honor the man who proved that love for country is stronger than fear. Ninoy didn’t just speak for freedom — he lived it, fought for it, and ultimately gave his life for it. He endured years of imprisonment, exile, and separation from his family, yet he never wavered in his belief that we, the Filipino people, deserved a free and just nation. He returned home knowing the danger that awaited him because he knew his people needed him more than his own safety. His death on August 21, 1983, was not the end — it became the spark that awakened a sleeping nation, united our people, and helped restore the democracy we cherish today. 🕊️

His legacy is not confined to history books — it lives in the freedom we enjoy each day: the right to speak, to choose, and to stand together. Let us never forget that freedom is never free. It was paid for by the sacrifice of a man who believed in his fellow Filipinos even in the darkest times. Today, we remember not only his name, but also his courage, faith, and love for the nation. May we carry the same patriotism in our hearts and never take for granted the liberty he gave his life to protect. 💛✨

Rest in peace, Ninoy. Your sacrifice was not in vain. 🇵🇭🤍

Bilang ikalawang Pangulo ng Pilipinas, itinatag ni Quezon ang Surian ng Wikang Pambansa noong 1936. Isinulong niya ang pagkakaroon ng isang wikang pambansa upang higit na magkaisa ang mga Pilipino mula sa iba’t ibang rehiyon ng bansa.
Kahapon, Agosto 19, ating inalala ang mahalagang ambag ni Manuel L. Quezon sa ating pagkakakilanlan bilang mga Pilipino. Ang kanyang adhikain para sa isang wikang magbubuklod sa bansa ay patuloy na makikita sa ating pang-araw-araw na buhay. 🖋️📚🇵🇭
