Personnel of the Mandaluyong City Jail Male Dormitory conducted a comprehensive Unarmed Training session for Criminology Interns from the Metropolitan Institute of Arts and Science. The initiative aimed to enhance the internsโ foundational skills in defensive tactics, safety protocols, and proper response techniques essential in correctional and law enforcement settings.
During the training, interns were introduced to various unarmed defense strategies, focusing on situational awareness, controlled movements, and non-lethal methods of managing potential threats. Jail personnel demonstrated each technique carefully, ensuring that participants understood both the physical ex*****on and the ethical considerations involved in applying force within custodial environments.
This activity forms part of the jailโs continuing commitment to support academic institutions in shaping future public safety professionals. By providing real-world training, the Mandaluyong City Jail Male Dormitory helps equip criminology students with the practical knowledge and discipline needed to thrive in their chosen career paths while promoting responsible, safe, and humane law enforcement practices.
