With the recommendation of the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Department (CDRRMD) and the official announcement of the Caloocan City Government classes in both private and public schools at all levels are now suspended on August 17, 2026, Monday.

The College of Arts and Sciences-Student Council (CASSC) reminds all students to stay safe and alert towards any updates made through official announcements done by the local government and the university.

The CASSC is currently opening its doors to applicants who are interested in becoming the next CASSC Public Relations Officer (𝗣.𝗥.𝗢) for the A.Y 2026-2027.

Applications are open starting on August 15, 2026 until August 20, 2026. Should any student be interested in occupying the vacated position of the P.R.O, there are strict requirements that are necessary for this position.

(❗️) 𝐑𝐄𝐐𝐔𝐈𝐑𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐒:
• Be a bona fide student of the University of the East–Caloocan enrolled for the First Semester, A.Y. 2026–2027.
• Be currently enrolled in any Arts and Sciences program.
• Must have experience using graphic design and editing applications—such as Canva, Adobe Photoshop, or similar platforms—to create high-quality promotional materials.
• Carry a minimum load of twelve (12) units throughout the term of office.
• Have no record of misconduct, as certified by the Student Affairs Office (SAO).
• Upload a copy of the Registration Form (RF) as proof of enrollment.
• Must demonstrate strong organizational skills to effectively balance academic responsibilities with student council duties.
• You will be required to upload a portfolio showcasing your skills in publication materials and other PR work.

Classes tomorrow, August 15, 2026, Saturday, will have the asynchronous modality. In light of the University of the East’s announcement regarding the NSTP classes tomorrow. All of the NSTP classes shall be conducted asynchronous tomorrow.

Asynchronous classes are applied to the following:
* Civic Welfare Training Service (𝗖𝗪𝗧𝗦)
* Literacy Training Service (𝗟𝗧𝗦)
* Reserve Officers Training Corps (𝗥𝗢𝗧𝗖)

The 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 (𝗖𝗔𝗦𝗦𝗖) formally announces that its 𝗣𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿 for Academic Year 2026–2027 has submitted a 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗹𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 to the Council.

The resignation was tendered following the officer’s careful consideration of their current circumstances and capacity to continue fulfilling the responsibilities and demands of the position. 𝗜𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗹𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁 𝗱𝘂𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹-𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴.

The Council acknowledges that serving in a student leadership position requires time, commitment, responsibility, and the capacity to fulfill the duties entrusted to an officer. After careful consideration, the officer determined that stepping down from the position would be the most appropriate decision for both their well-being and the continued functioning of the Student Council.

In the interest of respecting the officer’s privacy, the CASSC will not disclose the personal circumstances and other sensitive matters stated in the resignation letter. The Council believes that transparency must be exercised with equal consideration for the dignity and privacy of its officers.

The resignation has been duly received and acknowledged by the College of Arts and Sciences Student Council.

Further announcements regarding the Public Relations Officer position and the necessary transition of responsibilities
will be communicated through the official channels of the CASSC.

The College of Arts and Sciences Student Council reiterates its commitment to serving the student body with 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆, 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆, and 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆. We recognize that choosing to step down from a leadership position is a significant decision, and we respect the officer’s decision to prioritize their well-being and acknowledge their own limitations.

We extend our sincere gratitude to our former Public Relations Officer for their service, efforts, and contributions to the Council. Despite the brief period of service, we appreciate the time and commitment they have shared with the organization.

We respect their decision and wish them good health, strength, and success in their future endeavors.
