Due to an insufficient number of participants, the face-to-face event of Para Kanino CAS?: Spoken Word Poetry Competition, one of the featured events under CASama: Mental Wellness Pop-Up Event Series, has been 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐝.

Nevertheless, all students who submitted their entries will still 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐳𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐲 as recognition for their effort, creativity, and participation.

FLY HIGH, YOUNG FILMMAKERS | UE Cal. Student Org Invites Student Moviemakers to Latest ‘Cinemandirigma’

Silangan Film Circle, a recognized student organization of the University of the East-Caloocan, is opening its doors to student filmmakers through a call for submissions for the latest edition of its annual film festival, Cinemandirigma XII: Lipad!

This 12th year of the SFC’s film fest promises various events, talks and activities aimed at further piquing the student body’s interest and engagement with narratives through film and storytelling.

The Cinemandirigma XII call for film submissions is welcoming all student filmmakers interested in showcasing their films to a wider audience. Submissions will remain open only until March 14, 2026.

The festival has three categories: Narrative, Documentary and Experimental.

Qualified entries will be pre-screened on March 23, 24, and 26 at MPH 1 and MPH 2 of the UE College of Engineering-Caloocan Building. This will succeed an opening event by the SFC to announce all the selected films, to be held on March 16 at MPH 3 at the Dr. Lucio C. Tan Building.

The Cinemandirigma XII awarding ceremony will unfold on March 30 at the UE Caloocan Conference Hall, on the 11th floor fo the Tan Yan Kee Academic Building.
