Goal Setting for High Level Students
Today, we had our first ever Goal Setting Meeting with our grade 4 and older high level students. We started with the history of Kumon and how it expanded to different countries. Students got excited when they realized that the worksheets they are working on are the same with the worksheets other students are working on in so many countries.
Then they plot their starting level, current level and year end goals in our Table of Learning in Math and Reading. Some already finished 8, 10 and as many as 12 levels in a few years.
We ended the session by making them compute the number of days and worksheets they have to finish to reach their goals. Teacher Rochelle treated everyone to Starbucks for a job well done.
What a productive day! Good job, everyone.

Kumon will be open today for regular classes and assessments. However, given the current weather conditions, parents may decide whether their child will attend class or simply pick up their worksheets.
