NEWS | DUEƑAS PLACES 6TH IN EDITORIAL WRITING AT EXPLAINED PH NATIONAL CAMPUS PRESS SUMMIT

Maria Yzabelle V. DueƱas, a Grade 8 student, secured 6th Place in Editorial Writing (Secondary – English) at the National Campus Press Summit x JournCamp+, with the awarding ceremony held on Saturday, December 13, 2025.

The national recognition was achieved under the guidance and coaching of Mr. Royette G. Bermoy. Her performance demonstrated a strong grasp of language, critical reasoning, and journalistic ethics.

The National Campus Press Summit x JournCamp+ is organized by Explained PH, a youth-led media organization that conducts journalism training programs and press summits in coordination with and recognized through advisories issued by the Department of Education (DepEd), providing student journalists nationwide with platforms for skills development and ethical media practice.

DueƱas’s achievement brings honor to the school and serves as an inspiration to campus journalists to pursue excellence in responsible and impactful journalism.

K–10 | Basic Education Department Holds Second Parent-Teacher Conference

The Basic Education Department conducted its Second Parent-Teacher Conference (PTC) on December 12, 2025, attended by parents from Preschool to Grade 10 at the 2nd and 3rd floors of the ICC Main Building.

Class advisers welcomed parents in their respective advisory classrooms. Discussions focused on students’ academic performance, upcoming school activities, and other important announcements. During the card viewing, advisers presented students’ grades and recognized those who qualified for the Honors List.

The conference concluded with strengthened collaboration between parents and teachers in supporting students’ academic progress.

K-10 | JHS STUDENTS COMPETE IN BROADCASTING COMPETITION

Junior High School students showcased their talent for communication skills and on-air news presentation during the Radio Broadcasting Competition as part of the Basic Education Department's National Reading Month activities, held at the ICC Annex Library, on November 27, 2025.

The competition was organized by Ma’am Jessa Elarmo and Ma’am Patricia Mae Nicdao, that started at 1:30 PM, beginning with an opening prayer, followed by the introduction of judges, Mr. Nellier Armatan, Ma'am Mary Suzette Acosta, and Ma'am Gema Nadunza–Quillopo. Furthermore, seven teams participated with the hopes of winning the competition.

The Reading Month celebration provided the students an opportunity to showcase their skills and to use their voices to inspire others.

After finalizing the results, the winners were officially announced. The declared champion of the Radio Broadcasting competition was the Grade 10 team. Placing 1st place was Grade 8 Roxas, while Grade 8 OsmeƱa finished in 2nd place.
