BASAHIN: DepEd, inanunsyo ang desisyon ng Pangulong Rodrigo Roa Duterte sa pag-urong ng class opening sa October 5, 2020 upang isaalang-alang ang kalusugan ng mga g**o at mag-aaral na nasa mga lugar kung saan ipinaiiral na modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ)

Ang desisyon ng Pangulo ay nakaayon rin sa rekomendasyon isinumite ni DepEd Secretary Leonor Magtolis Briones noong August 6.

"We shall use the deferment to provide relief to the logistical limitations faced by the areas placed under MECQ and to fill in the remaining gaps of the school opening that we are currently addressing,”
