“Advocacy for gender equality occurs at all levels of society.”

19/04/2025

This is it. The moment we say goodbye.

To the Gender and Development (GAD) Batch 2024–2025 — this is our final bow. We walked into this journey unsure of what to expect, unaware of the impact it would leave on us. But now, as we close this chapter, we carry with us stories, laughter, lessons, and memories that will echo far beyond these walls.

We began as strangers, many of us asking, “Ano ‘yung GAD?” We were uncertain, hesitant, and unprepared for what lay ahead. Then came the projects — demanding, relentless, challenging. Some stepped up to lead, others simply hoped to survive. But all of us learned. We found our voices. We stood our ground. We learned to fight for what we believed in.

We laughed. We got scolded. We showed up late. We crammed like there was no tomorrow.

But we were in it — together.

To those we clashed with, we offer peace.
To those we shared laughter with, thank you.
To those who remained silent, you were seen.
To those who left midway, we understand.
To those who stayed until the end — we made it.

This isn’t a fairy tale.
There’s no glitter, no perfect ending.
It’s real. It’s raw. It’s filled with what-ifs and sana.
But for one moment in time — we had each other.
We were a batch. We were a force. We were everything.

We weren’t perfect.
We weren’t the best.
But we were loud. Passionate. Resilient. Tired, but always present.

And now, it’s time to sign off.

This was Gender and Development 2024–2025.
Goodbye, GAD.
Goodbye, batchmates.
This is the last time our names will appear on the same page — as one.

We were not just students.
We were advocates.
We were GADvocates.

March 1: A Month for Women, A Month of Power

Imagine a world without women—no mothers, no sisters, no leaders, no visionaries. Unthinkable, isn’t it? Women shape societies, drive progress, and inspire change every single day. As we step into March, we celebrate Women’s Month—a time to honor the resilience, brilliance, and contributions of every woman.

Yet, despite decades of progress, challenges persist. Inequality, inequity, discrimination, and outdated stereotypes continue to hinder women’s full potential. But here’s the undeniable truth: an empowered woman is unstoppable.

Even more powerful?

Empowered women empower society.

Lifting each other up isn’t just an act of kindness—it’s a force for change. Every girl deserves to know that her dreams are valid, her voice matters, and her potential is limitless. Because when one woman rises, she paves the way for others to follow.

So, let’s ask again: Can you imagine a world without women?

𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙚 𝙗𝙚𝙜𝙞𝙣𝙨 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙩𝙝𝙤𝙨𝙚 𝙬𝙝𝙤 𝙙𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙘𝙖𝙧𝙚: Gender and Development - VAWC Seminar 💜✨

On December 14, 2024, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 NN, Deparo High School proudly invites all Homeroom PTA Presidents to an empowering and transformative Gender and Development - VAWC Seminar. This is a chance to lead with purpose and stand for what matters most, the safety and dignity of women and children. Change begins where courage meets responsibility.

As leaders within our school community, our Homeroom PTA Presidents play a what we call, “important” role in shaping a safe, supportive, and equitable environment for every child and family. Through this seminar, we aim to deepen our understanding of gender sensitivity, equip ourselves with the tools to address violence, and collectively build a normalization of respect and compassion.

Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC) is not just a problem, it is a what we say, a "hurdle" that threatens the light of every home and community. As parent leaders, you are the heart of change. May it get us to build a world where love outshines fear, and no one is silenced by violence. To care for a child is to invest in tomorrow. Justice delayed is humanity denied. The future is watching, what will we choose to leave behind?

Protecting one life is protecting the future of many!

See you there as we take the first step towards meaningful action! 💪💜

𝙏𝙖𝙥𝙤𝙨 𝙣𝙖 𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙀𝙭𝙖𝙢! 𝙋𝙖𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙖 𝙈𝙪𝙣𝙖, 𝙏𝙖𝙥𝙤𝙨 𝙇𝙖𝙗𝙖𝙣 𝙐𝙡𝙞𝙩.
