Ka- BES, this is what you've been waiting for!
We know that you've been curious about the research's topics, so wait no more! Here is a brief introduction of our first presenter's research entitled, "Challenges Experienced by Hillbillies Who Migrated to Megacities for Studies."
The researcher quoted from his conclusion, "Hillbillies who moved to a megacity to attend college experienced unexpected experiences, such as bullying, laughingstock, stereotyped, humiliated, and degraded due to their speaking skills. However, the Bisaya people learned that adversity is part of their journey and that there is nothing they can do to change it. No matter who a person is, everyone must give importance to cultural sensitivity
in the same way that people are sensitive to gender orientation. If they encounter
individuals with different behavior, they should recognize that not all humans have the same belief, culture, ethnicity, and race. Moreover, they should not criticize others with biased opinions because they must be sensitive no matter how different a person is."
Stay tuned for more! 🤩

Ka- BES, this is what you've been waiting for!
We know that you've been curious about the research's topics, so wait no more! Here is a brief introduction of our first presenter's research entitled, "The Effects of Social Stigma to COVID-19 Positive Patient's Mental Health in Barangay 176 Caloocan City."
The researchers quoted from their conclusion, "Social stigma has a significant impact on the mental health and physical health of people under investigation and monitoring, while having a moderate impact on their social lives. Goffman's Stigma: Notes on the Management of Spoiled Identity examines the strategies used by stigmatized people to cope with rejection and their complex images of themselves."
Social stigma surrounding COVID-19 can have a significant impact on the mental health of individuals who have tested positive for the virus. Stigmatizing attitudes and behaviors can create feelings of shame, guilt, and embarrassment, and can make people feel isolated and rejected by their communities.
To minimize the impact of stigma on the mental health of COVID-19 positive patients, it is important to promote accurate information about the virus and to foster a culture of compassion and understanding. This can include educating the public about the causes and effects of COVID-19, providing emotional support and resources for those who have been affected, and advocating for policies and practices that prioritize the health and well-being of all individuals, regardless of their COVID-19 status.
Stay tuned for more! 🤩

Ka- BES, this is what you've been waiting for!
We know that you've been curious about the research's topics, so wait no more! Here is a brief introduction of our second presenter's research entitled, "Understanding Incidental Consumption of Information about COVID-19 and its Vaccination through Social Media Among Teenagers from Caloocan City."
As the researches gathered informations, they have come to the conclusion, "With the network of information circulating around the social media about Covid-19 and its vaccination, findings indicate that teenagers still find a credible source despite the challenges of fact checking rather than being susceptible to false information."
Social media has had both positive and negative effects on the spread of information related to COVID-19. On the one hand, social media platforms have provided an accessible and immediate way to share news and updates about the pandemic. This has allowed people around the world to stay informed and up-to-date on the latest developments, including information about the spread of the virus, public health measures, and vaccine distribution.
However, social media has also facilitated the spread of misinformation and conspiracy theories related to COVID-19. False or misleading information can spread rapidly on social media platforms, leading to confusion and even harm if people act on inaccurate information. In some cases, false information has led to the spread of dangerous conspiracy theories, such as claims that the virus is a hoax or that vaccines are unsafe.
Overall, social media has had a significant impact on the dissemination of information related to COVID-19, both positive and negative. While social media can be a powerful tool for sharing information and promoting public health, it is important to be vigilant about the accuracy and reliability of information and to take steps to combat misinformation and conspiracy theories.
Stay tuned for more! 🤩

Ka- BES, this is what you've been waiting for!
We know that you've been curious about the researcher's topics, so wait no more! Here is a brief introduction of our first presenter's research entitled, "Bata, Bata, Bakit ka Ginawa? The Negative Effect of Filipino Family Who See Their Children as a Retirement Plan."
The younger generation of Gen Z is unhappy over what they perceive to be the "retirement funds" of their parents and elders. A toxic mindset that is passed on every generation is parents considering their children as someone that will give them a more successful life. The researchers concluded that, "Not all parents have the ability and knowledge to make wise decisions in budgeting for their family’s needs, so they tend to pass the responsibility to provide the needs of the family to their children."
Stay tuned for more! 🤩
