We extend our plea to old students who have left the school with outstanding balances.

Some of these students had left the school already and must be either college graduates or professionals by now.

We refuse to think that you have forgotten. Maybe, at that time you were just under some constraints and difficulties.

IDSN is ready to release your records soonest the moment you settle these accounts.

8 January 2022

Our Beloved IDSN Community,

God is always our safe haven. Greetings!

In consonance with IATF's pronouncement of placing NCR under Alert Level 3, the IDSN Office has decided to declare a ONE-WEEK ACADEMIC BREAK which will run from 10 January 2022 to 14 January 2022. This is to lessen the stress we are all experiencing from the infections (not necessarily from Omicron contagion but also from coughs, colds, and flu).

There will be NO ACADEMIC INTERACTIONS in WHATSOEVER FORM within the week.

Let us all focus our attention on getting away with the infections, especially those pupils, parents, guardians, and even teachers who in one way or another have family members recuperating from sickness and discomforts. If there is an extension of this break, please wait for the announcement on or before 16 January 2022.

For the meantime, our main immediate concern is to contain the virulence. Adjustments in the school calendar will just be announced later.

History tells us that humanity as a whole has always overcome diseases and famine. Some may have perished in the struggles, yet God never forsakes us as we battle through evils of this form.

Lastly, as we try so hard to cure the sick and prevent this viral spread... Let us PRAY, it works. God and Señor Santo Niño will always hear us.

Dear IDSN FAMILY,

"If today you hear HIS voice, harden not your hearts."

God is calling on us to help alleviate the sufferings of Typhoon Odette’s victims in Visayas and Mindanao. Let us answer the call.

Please look at the following list of priority items for each grade level. Kindly DO NOT GIVE used clothes as they are highly discouraged based on the memo released by the DSWD. Of those in the list, FOOD and hygiene kits are direly needed.

PRESCHOOL - GRADE 2: soap, toothpaste, toothbrush, shampoo

GRADE 3 - GRADE 6: Rice, easy-open canned goods or ready to consume food in pouch packs

Other essential items:
Mosquito nets, slippers/footwear, medicines, and vitamins

Please drop off your donations at the IDSN campus, Monday - Saturday, 8am - 5pm.

All donations will be forwarded to the Philippine Coast Guard.

We are begging for what you can only afford to share. Despite the pandemic, some of us still have some to share.

Let us once again enjoy the joy of sharing to the needy; but, above all, besides material things; they need our PRAYERS.

Thanks for your generous hearts.

2 September 2021

Dear IDSN Family,

Joyful greetings everyone!

We are just counting days and it’s time for another year of distance education through online learning and instruction. As we prepare for this schoolyear, the following are our immediate concerns:

• Textbooks are now ready for distribution. We request that you bring ecobag when you claim them. Please also bring the copy of the receipt and/or scanned copy of the receipt if you paid online.

• Everyone (old and new student) is enjoined to regularly attend the asynchronous and synchronous try-out sessions. Awards/Honors for exemplary achievement are again available for those who will excell in academic and non-academic activities. Because of this, there will be short quizzes and trimestral examinations; hence there is a need to practice/familiarize ourselves on how to take them online.

September 06, 2021 (Monday) - September 10, 2021 (Friday)

• PTA (Parent-Teachers-Administrators) Meeting is scheduled on September 04, 2021 (Saturday) via Google Meet. We will be happy to hear your concerns.

NKP 9:30AM - 10:30AM
Gr. 1-3 11:00AM - 12:00 NN
Gr. 4-6 1:00PM - 2:00PM

• Enrolment is now in full swing. You can register and pay fees either online or face-to-face with our school personnel.

For online enrolment, please contact any teacher or Ms. Araojo (Nurse Mitch) for assistance.

• Officially, our schoolyear opens on September 13, 2021 (Monday).

Let us start the schoolyear well prepared and ready so we can easily troubleshoot any problem that may arise.

We did it last year. We can do it better this year. Thanks be to God and Señor Sto. Niño, we are still steadfastly on the right track.

See you soon!

Dear IDSN Family,

God’s love and blessings be upon all of us!

Now that ECQ has been lifted, hopefully our mobility is less restricted and we can go on full swing with our children’s enrolment. We are very sorry that we had to close the school gate for walk-in enrolment within the ECQ period; however, our online enrolment has been ongoing even during those contained days.

Our utmost concerns for now are discussed in the succeeding paragraphs.

A. ENROLMENT

Enrolment is still ongoing. You may opt for:

- Online

For the enrolment forms, please contact the teachers and/or Ms. Michelle Araojo
(Nurse Mitch) through their cellphones and social media accounts or you can leave a message on our page.

- Face to Face

You will also be accommodated at the school campus starting August 25, 2021 (Wednesday). Again, we need to follow minimum safety protocols: wear facemask and faceshield; sanitize with alcohol/sanitizer; bring your OWN pen (blue or black ink); and maintain social distancing.

B. PAYMENTS

a. Online - Please contact the office for further instructions before paying through the bank.

b. Face to Face - Cash or Cheque are accepted.

C. ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

* New Student
- Original Copy of Report Card (when applicable)
- Original Copy of Good Moral Character (when applicable)
- Photocopy of PSA Birth Certificate
- Photocopy of Baptismal Certificate

* Old Student
- Original Copy of Report Card

D. PARENTS, TEACHERS, and ADMINISTRATORS MEETING

On September 4, 2021 (Saturday) via Google Meet, there will be Orientation and Dialogue among parents, teachers, and administrators to clarify/iron out questions and doubts, and to welcome and familiarize each other in IDSN school community as well.

NKP: 9:30A.M.- 10:30A.M.
Gr. 1 - 3: 11:00A.M. - 12:00 N.N.
Gr. 4 -6: 1:00 P.M. - 2:00 P.M

E. TRIAL CLASSES

To familiarize and acclimatize the students (old and new) with the system and Seesaw Platform, trial classes will be held from September 6, 2021 (Monday) to September 10, 2021 (Friday).

F. FORMAL START of CLASSES

Hoping that everything runs smoothly, our formal classes start on September 13, 2021 (Monday). Originally, it was September 6, 2021 (Monday) but due to ECQ, there is a need to give parents ample time to complete the needed enrolment requirements.

G. TEXTBOOKS

IDSN student use textbooks instead of modules. Deliveries of books have been hindered by the ECQ as we were informed that some publishing houses utilized only their skeletal forces and their mobility had been restricted in some highly compromised areas (that is, some areas were locked down). We are pooling all our resources so that the books are available by August 30, 2021.

You will be informed promptly when the sets of books are already complete and ready for distribution. It would be very convenient if you could bring an ecobag when claiming the books.

Again, we apologize for this delay - this is an unforeseen situation.

We are very thankful for your trust and cooperation last school year. As we open School Year 2021-2022, we do hope our camaraderie and joint efforts in educating your children grow stronger and more cohesive than before during these very trying times.

With God and Señor Sto. Niño as our strongest allies, let us face this school year with stiff upper lip and OPTIMISM.

God be with us all always. He never fails His people.

August 10, 2021

Our Dear IDSN Family and Friends,

Greetings of Peace in the name of our Lord!

We are pleased to announce that our School Year 2021-2022 formally opens September 6, 2021 (Monday). This gives us barely a month to prepare our children and us for another very challenging but rewarding year of study, coaching, and coaxing.

IDSN will strictly go on with its distance education via Seesaw, especially that the Delta Variance is currently sweeping through Metro-Manila.

For the guidance/information of everyone, especially the newcomers and transferees, here are some important points regarding enrolment (procedure, policies, and fees):

ENROLMENT
A. Entry Requirements:
* Old Students: F-138 (Report Card) – Original Copy
* New Students: F-138 (Report Card) – Original Copy
PSA Birth Certificate (Photocopied)
Baptismal Certificate (Photocopied, For Catholics)
Evaluation (Oral and Written) – Administered by IDSN

MODE OF ENROLMENT
* Online: Please visit the link/s below and send us a message to get a digital copy of the enrolment forms.
https://www.facebook.com/Instituto-de-Sto-Ni%C3%B1o-102817534770965

* Walk-in: You may drop by at our campus; there are teachers to assist you Mondays to
Fridays (except during ECQ and holidays) from 8 am to 4 pm.

SCHOOL FEES
The school fees remain unchanged. You can call the teachers or the Office for the details.
*Online Payment: You can pay the fees through BDO and LANDBANK Online Banking
*Walk-in: Please drop by during office hours and you can right away claim your Official
Receipt.

MODE OF INSTRUCTION AND LEARNING
* Asynchronous Sessions: From Monday to Thursday, the teachers upload video lessons by schedule which give the learner flexibility in his/her study and reviewing time. The maximum subject load per day is two (2).
* Synchronous Sessions: The ONLINE KUMUSTAHAN live sessions are held every Friday wherein all subject teachers must meet their classes for feedback.
* IDSN uses SEESAW as its main platform.

TEXTBOOKS
IDSN uses textbooks instead of modules. Textbooks are far more thorough and comprehensive than modules. Textbook activities are handed in every Friday of the week.

We expect that it would be better this school year because of the exposure we have had last year in this new mode of teaching-learning situation. However, we cannot just sit on our laurels, there is a need for improvement. With your feedback and cooperation, we will be able to make and improve on what we have started.

Let us maintain our vigilance on our health concerns – strictly observe health protocols and be vaccinated. Also, we enjoin everyone to observe strict health protocols when visiting the school.

We need your support, cooperation, and trust again this coming school year so that everyone is safe and able to go through our educational journey with our children. Let the burning spirit of teaching, coaching, and coaxing always be alive in us.

God and Señor Sto. Niño will always help us overcome the challenge of these pandemic times.

More power be to all of us!
