Congratulations to all the winners from Esteban S. Javellana Memorial High School during the Municipal Meet 2026 held last August 15-16. Your outstanding achievements, hard work and perseverance in the field of sports have truly paid off, and you have made ESJMHS community proud.

ESJMHS Journalists Earn Top Awards in Cluster Journalism Training

Student journalists bagged top awards during the 3rd Congressional District Cluster Campus Journalism Training held on August 1–2, 2026, after demonstrating excellence in various individual journalism competitions.

‎Representing Esteban S. Javellana Memorial High School (ESJMHS), the thirty-one participants competed at Cabatuan National Comprehensive High School to hone their journalistic skills and prepare for campus journalism contests.
‎
‎Moreover, ESJMHS recorded impressive results as Kim Audrey Magbanua emerged as champion in News Writing English and was recognized the Most Promising Student Journalist, while Alfhea Moncada topped Copy Reading and Headline Writing in Filipino, and the school's other delegates also secured placements in editorial writing, feature writing, editorial cartooning, copy reading, and news writing.

‎"This training is more than just a competition; it's a training ground for aspiring journalists to sharpen their skills, develop their knowledge, and learn the principles of responsible journalism," said Valente L. Lauro, School Principal IV of Cabatuan National Comprehensive High School.

‎Meanwhile, the delegates' collective achievements placed Esteban S. Javellana Memorial High School the Rank 3 Best Performing School (Category B).

‎School paper advisers Ma'am Dorelyn L. Aguilario and Ma'am Andrea Tomesa said they were proud of the young journalists for representing ESJMHS with excellence and inspiring others through their stories, adding that the awards reflected the team's hard work and dedication.

‎Finally, the remarkable performance of the ESJMHS journalists reaffirmed the school's commitment to producing competent, responsible, and award-winning campus journalists ready to excel in future competitions.

This initiative is strengthened through the collaborative efforts of the Calinog PNP, Brgy. Tanod, and teachers, who work together to maintain peace, order, and discipline within the school premises.

The Esteban S. Javellana Memorial High School community gathered during the Flag Raising Ceremony to commemorate the 10th Anniversary of the Arbitral Victory in the West Philippine Sea today July 6. This meaningful observance through the AVP of "Karapatan ng Karagatan" by the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) serves as a reminder of the nation's commitment to sovereignty, unity, and adherence to international law. As one community, we give honor to this historic milestone and inspire our learners to uphold patriotism, civic responsibility, and love for country.

Calinog Municipal Police personnel, led by Police Captain Melvin S. Mercado, Officer-in-Charge, conducted visibility operations at Esteban S. Javellana Memorial High School today, June 25, as part of ongoing efforts to enhance campus safety and security.

During the visit, Police Captain Mercado rendered a courtesy call and coordinated with Dr. Lorebec P. Catolico, Principal II. It was an opportunity to strengthen collaboration between the school and local law enforcement, focusing on strategies to maintain a safe, secure, and disciplined learning environment for both learners and educators.

This initiative highlights the shared commitment of the Philippine National Police (PNP) in promoting peace and order in the school campus.

Esteban S. Javellana Memorial High School successfully conducted the 2nd National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) today, June 18, with the active participation of teachers and students led by the School DRRM Coordinator, Mr. Roy Armentia.

The activity was further strengthened through the support and presence of personnel from the Bureau of Fire Protection – Calinog, along with Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) representatives namely Mr. Philip Angelo Gonzaludo and Mr. Marlon Catoto. Also present during the drill was Hon. Cesar Jocson, Brgy. Captain of Brgy. Guiso, Calinog.
