This Book Month 2025, the Communicators Club celebrates the beauty of creativity with stories that teach, inspire, and heal. Each page we turn is a bridge to understanding, and every word we read is a doorway towards countless imaginations. Proving that books aren’t just paper and ink, but are living memories of whispers of wisdom passed through generations.

CHIKA FOR THIS WEEK'S EVENT!!

The Communicators Club of Holy Cross College of Calinan of the Basic Education Department had an opening for this week's program, Reading Week, on November 20, 2023.

This Reading Week aims to promote the idea that reading is not just work but also a source of entertainment.

Our members dressed up as Disney characters from book-based adaptations of films. They had a short sing-a-long with popular Disney songs, got an opportunity to see live Disney princesses, and had a question-and-answer portion. This event encourages imaginative skills in students through reading.

There is one hope that binds us all in a chaotic and uncertain world: world peace. Not only is achieving peace a noble desire, but it is also a shared civic duty. The idea of world peace is not something that only exists in utopian fiction. Simple deeds of compassion and kindness serve as its foundation. Every kind word, every helping hand, and every act of love has the capacity to reverberate throughout neighbourhoods, bringing about peace.
Peace is the presence of understanding and acceptance as well as the absence of conflict. We must first be willing to accept our differences and look for points of agreement within ourselves. Nevertheless, establishing peace is not without its difficulties. Conflicts and divisions are a constant in the world we live in. But let’s not lose sight of the innumerable people and organisations that ceaselessly advance peace, frequently in the face of opposition.

We shall all work towards being an advocate for global peace under the communicators club’s guidance. Let’s remember these three obligations as a person who exists in this chaotic planet. Develop inner tranquilly first. We must start with ourselves before focusing on our surroundings. What have you done in this world to advance or contribute to peace, you might ask? Through contemplation, engaging your intellect, and remaining calm when the outside world seems to be challenging you. The second is to work on your understanding and empathy. We will have a deeper knowledge of individuals as we apply the first principle to ourselves. We may calmly observe them. Additionally, we can help them if they need it when they are struggling. We are able to appreciate others’ beliefs and comprehend various points of view. Promote awareness and education lastly. By participating in a programme that promotes harmony, resolve, and internationalism. Additionally, by spreading knowledge about the value of peace and how it is related to social justice, equality, and sustainable development.

Imagine a world where conflicts are resolved through dialogue rather than violence. Where empathy replaces hatred and understanding replaces ignorance. This vision is not impossible; it is within our reach.
