Active Shooting Drill
Buluan Elementary School, Brgy. Buluan, Calbiga, Samar successfully conducted an Active Shooting Drill on July 8, 2026, as part of its commitment to ensuring a safe and secure learning environment for all learners and school personnel. The activity was spearheaded by the Barangay Officials of Brgy. Buluan in collaboration with the 63rd Infantry Battalion (63 IB), Philippine Army, under the leadership of SSG Allan S. Albuera and Squad Leader Corporal Anthony Revira, who provided practical demonstrations and guidance on the proper response procedures during an active shooter incident.
Through this simulation, learners, teachers, parents, and stakeholders gained valuable knowledge and hands-on experience in emergency preparedness, situational awareness, and coordinated response. The activity strengthened the school's disaster risk reduction and management initiatives while fostering a culture of safety, vigilance, and community cooperation. Together, we continue to build a resilient school community where preparedness saves lives.
