Due to the effects of Severe Tropical Storm Opong, NSTP classes tomorrow are suspended until further notice.

This is to prioritize safety, support recovery efforts, and address accessibility concerns. Updates will be posted here and in official channels.

NSTP classes will resume next week once conditions have normalized.

ADVISORY | There will be NO NSTP CLASSES on September 6, 2025 (Saturday) as per the Office of the University President.

𝗔𝗗𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗢𝗥𝗬 | By virtue of Proclamation No. 1007, September 8, 2025 is declared a SPECIAL NON-WORKING DAY in the City of Calbayog in celebration of the Hadang Festival.

The Office of the University President also declared that there will be no classes and office transactions in the Main Campus on September 6-7, 2025 to give way to our city’s activities and festivities.

Work and classes will resume on September 9, 2025.

𝗡𝗦𝗧𝗣 𝗚𝗘𝗡𝗘𝗥𝗔𝗟 𝗢𝗥𝗜𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗞𝗜𝗖𝗞𝗦 𝗢𝗙𝗙 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗔𝗬 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱-𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

The National Service Training Program (NSTP) officially opened its classes with a General Orientation held on August 23, 2025, at the Socio-Cultural Center of Northwest Samar State University. The event gathered NSTP students under the Civic Welfare Training Service (CWTS) and Literacy Training Service (LTS) components.

The orientation commenced with the rationale of NSTP prepared by Engr. Ryan Emil T. Zosa IV, NSTP Director, and presented by Engr. Gregor Pio Diongon, LTS Team Leader, in his stead. Discussions on NSTP rules and regulations, along with the privileges of SK officials, were likewise delivered by Ms. Zerrah Jil Lobreguito, CWTS Faculty.

A comprehensive course syllabus run-through was presented by Mr. Ian Becoñado, CWTS Team Leader, and Engr. Diongon, LTS Team Leader, providing students with a clear picture of the semester’s activities and requirements.

The session also featured an open forum, giving students the opportunity to raise questions and concerns. It concluded with the organization of sections and the introduction of faculty advisers who will guide the students throughout their NSTP journey.

The orientation highlighted NSTP’s role in developing students as responsible citizens and servant-leaders, strengthening their commitment to service, discipline, and nation-building.

NSTP classes for AY 2025–2026, 1st Semester will officially start this Saturday, August 23, 2025 at 8:00 AM.
