CHEDRO VIII and RQAT Evaluate CKC Graduate Programs

The Commission on Higher Education Regional Office VIII (CHEDRO VIII) and the Regional Quality Assessment Team (RQAT) conducted a comprehensive monitoring and evaluation of the graduate programs at the Institute of Graduate Studies and Research (IGSAR) of Christ the King College of Calbayog City, Inc. (CKC) from May 26 to 28, 2026.

The assessment team composed of Dr. Maria Myla M. Javier, Dr. Myrna L. Macalinao, and Dr. Beverly B. Fernandez reviewed the institution’s compliance with quality assurance benchmarks, including academic policies, faculty credentials, research output, student services, and institutional requirements.

The CKC administration, led by Rev. Fr. Prisco A. Cajes, OFM, ThD (College President), Dr. Vilma C. Alburan (VP for Academic Affairs), Rev. Fr. Raymond C. Osok, OFM (VP for Administration), and Dr. Rowena R. Diaz (IGSAR Dean) facilitated the evaluation process. Beyond graduate curricula, the assessment examined all key operational areas to ensure alignment with CHED standards and sustained academic excellence. The successful completion of this activity reflects CKC’s unwavering commitment to quality graduate education, institutional growth, and excellence in instruction, research, and community extension
