Kagabi, Mayo 19, 2026, isang gabi ng pagbibigay-pugay at pagkilala sa natatanging husay, pagkamalikhain, talento, at masining na pagpapahayag ng mga mag-aaral ng Northwest Samar State University - College of Nursing, Batch Bhavani, kaugnay ng kanilang Grand Major Course Output sa Filipino 2 - Masining na Pagpapahayag, sa gabay ni G. Rolando A. Casaljay II.

Taos-pusong pagbati sa lahat ng nagwagi at sa bawat mag-aaral na naging bahagi ng matagumpay na pagtatanghal na ito. Ipinamalas ng bawat kalahok ang dedikasyon, pagtutulungan, at pagsisikap na tunay na karapat-dapat kilalanin at ipagmalaki.

Samantala, pinaalalahanan din ang mga mag-aaral na hindi man pinalad na maiuwi ang parangal na ang tunay na tagumpay ay hindi lamang nasusukat sa tropeo kundi sa tapang na maipakita ang talento, malikhaing ideya, at buong pusong paglahok sa programa.

Higit pa sa mga tropeo at parangal, naging pagdiriwang din ang Gawad Filipino 2026 ng pagkakaibigan, talento, at mga alaalang mananatili sa puso ng bawat isa. Isa rin itong makahulugang pagtatapos ng taong panuruan para sa Batch Bhavani.

The College of Nursing successfully commenced its Nursing Week 2026 celebration and observance of International Nurses Month through a simultaneous off-campus tribute activity held on May 11, 2026, honoring its affiliated health institutions and hospitals for their enduring partnership in nursing education and healthcare service. Through the dedicated efforts of the faculty, staff, and students, the college personally delivered meaningful tokens of appreciation to its partner institutions within Calbayog City, including Sta. Margarita Rural Health Unit, Adventist Hospital Calbayog, Inc., St. Camillus Hospital, Calbayog District Hospital, West Samar Doctors’ Hospital, Inc., and the Calbayog City Health Office.

The activity served not only as a gesture of gratitude, but also as a recognition of the vital role these institutions play in shaping competent, compassionate, and service-oriented future nurses through clinical exposure, mentorship, and collaborative healthcare practice. In shared commitment and public service, the College of Nursing continues to uphold its mission of advancing quality nursing education while honoring the dedication and invaluable contributions of healthcare professionals in the community.

Compassion finds its true meaning when it reaches beyond the classroom and touches the lives of the community.

As part of the Nursing Week 2026 celebration, the Northwest Samar State University - College of Nursing officially commences its week-long observance through a Community Medical Mission on May 11, 2026, at Barangay Cogon, Calbayog City.

Anchored on the spirit of service, empathy, and community engagement, this meaningful outreach initiative reflects the genuine essence of the nursing profession by bringing healthcare, hope, and healing closer to the people.

In partnership with the Calbayog City Health Office and St. Mary’s Medical and Diagnostic Clinic, the activity provides free medical consultation, free drug dispensing, and free basic laboratory services to community members, particularly those with limited access to healthcare services.

More than an academic celebration, this medical mission embodies the College’s continuing commitment to compassionate service, community empowerment, and the promotion of accessible and quality healthcare for all.

Indeed, nursing is not only learned within the four corners of the classroom, but most importantly, lived through selfless service to humanity.
