SCHOOL-BASED LEARNING ACTION CELL (SLAC) SESSION
Topic: “Designing PISA-Like Classroom Assessment”

Lapaan Integrated School successfully conducted its School-Based Learning Action Cell (SLAC) Session on October 14, 2026, at 3:00 PM, focusing on the topic “Designing PISA-Like Classroom Assessment.”

The session was spearheaded by Mr. Enrico G. Tomalon, School Principal, who served as the SLAC Facilitator and Resource Speaker. The activity aimed to strengthen teachers’ knowledge and skills in designing assessment tasks that promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and the application of learning in real-life situations.

Through this professional learning opportunity, teachers were encouraged to develop meaningful, relevant, and learner-centered assessments that enhance learners’ readiness to meet the demands of the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) and other international learning benchmarks.

This initiative reflects the school’s continuing commitment to professional growth, instructional excellence, and quality education for every learner.

Lapaan Integrated School successfully conducted its 3-in-1 Opening and Kick-Off Activity for the celebration of Scouting Month, Mathematics Month, and National School Safety Week on October 12, 2026, at the Brgy. Lapaan Covered Court.
The activity marked the beginning of three meaningful celebrations that promote leadership, discipline, teamwork, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and awareness of safety and disaster preparedness among learners.
Scouting Month – Promoting leadership, service, discipline, and the spirit of scouting.
Mathematics Month – Strengthening numeracy, logical reasoning, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
National School Safety Week – Raising awareness and fostering a culture of safety, preparedness, and shared responsibility within the school community.
