San Policarpo National High School - Boy Scouts

🌍♻️ 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐡 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐡 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 ♻️🌍
Today, 8 Senior Scouts of San Policarpo NHS – BSP proudly joined the 𝟏𝟐𝐭𝐡 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐒𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐬 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐡 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐡 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 clean-up! 💪✨ This international project challenges Scouts worldwide to collect at least 1 kilo of trash on the first Saturday of May, proving that small actions create big impact.

Their efforts not only keep our community cleaner but also count toward the 𝐌𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝☮️🕊️, showing how Scouts lead by example in caring for our planet and inspiring others to do the same.

𝑨𝒑𝒓𝒊𝒍 𝟐𝟐, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔| This day marks the significance of 𝒄𝒆𝒍𝒆𝒃𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝑬𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒉 and the vital importance of 𝒄𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒆𝒏𝒗𝒊𝒓𝒐𝒏𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕.

​The program kicked off with a spirited registration and the singing of the national anthem, followed by a 𝒔𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝒄𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒏𝒖𝒑 𝒅𝒓𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒔 around our 𝑨𝒍𝒎𝒂 𝑴𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒓 and the 𝑪𝒐𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒍 𝑨𝒓𝒆𝒂. 🧹🌊

​We were further inspired by the ever-respectable 𝑴𝒂'𝒂𝒎 𝑳𝒂𝒅𝒚 𝑫𝒂𝒓𝒚𝒍 𝑩𝒆𝒓𝒃𝒐𝒏, who graced us as our 𝒈𝒖𝒆𝒔𝒕 𝒔𝒑𝒆𝒂𝒌𝒆𝒓 She imparted 𝒎𝒆𝒕𝒊𝒄𝒖𝒍𝒐𝒖𝒔 𝒍𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒐𝒏𝒔 𝒐𝒏 𝒆𝒏𝒗𝒊𝒓𝒐𝒏𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒂𝒍 𝒊𝒎𝒑𝒂𝒄𝒕 and shared her insightful stance as a professional in the field. 🎓✨

​To commemorate the event, participants joined hand-in-hand to create a 𝑷𝒍𝒆𝒅𝒈𝒆 𝑾𝒂𝒍𝒍—a powerful 𝒗𝒊𝒔𝒖𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒛𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒊𝒎𝒑𝒂𝒄𝒕 we hold as 𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒘𝒂𝒓𝒅𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝑴𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝑬𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒉. 🖐️🖼️

Expect a day full of action, learning, and teamwork as we show that protecting the environment isn’t just a duty, it’s a lifestyle. In close coordination with the 𝐒𝐏𝐍𝐇𝐒 𝐘𝐄𝐒-𝐎 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐬, we’ve begun laying the groundwork for a powerful celebration of 𝐄𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐡 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 with the theme "𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐏𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫, 𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐭". On 𝐀𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐥 𝟐𝟐, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, the SPNHS Activity Center, the streets, and the coastal road of Brgy. San Policarpo will transform into a hub of eco-awareness, teamwork, and youth-led action.

The preparation wasn’t just about logistics—it was about building a shared vision and strategic planning to ensure that our voices, pledges, and actions echo far beyond the walls of our school.

Together, we’re proving that when students, leaders, and citizens unite, we can spark real change for the environment. 🌱✨

In celebration of 𝙀𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙝 𝙃𝙤𝙪𝙧 🌏✨
The San Policarpo Boy Scouts proudly joined this movement for our beloved planet.
From arrival and a small orientation at school to stepping into CACO full of excitement, we cheered for participants from our school during the countdown—until the lights went out, and we lit up our DIY lamps illuminating the night with purpose.

While the main event is happening, the SPNHS Boy Scouts simultaneously created their own little moments:

First activity, the SPNHS Boy Scouts show their creativity by turning trash into treasure through upcycling. The materials they used are an old T-shirt and art materials, making a Tote bag. They painted it in relation to Earth Hour.

Second activity, Scouts use a single flashlight to create animal shapes on the wall, telling a story about wildlife conservation. 🔦💡

Next Activity is Candlelight Storytelling: Gathered the patrol and shared stories of the legend of Sarimanok and its life lesson. 🕯

As part of Earth Hour, Scouts did nature journaling by candlelight. The Scouts write a short narrative report on their experiences and how they will commit to the environment for the coming year. 📖✍🏻

After that, the Scouts ended the night with smiles, memories, and a pictorial to remember it all 📸💚

The San Policarpo Boy Scouts are set to take part in 𝗘𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝗿 with the theme “𝙐𝙣𝙘𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙐𝙣𝙨𝙚𝙚𝙣: 𝙂𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙊𝙣𝙚 𝙃𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙀𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙝."

As the lights go out, let us shine a brighter purpose—uncovering the unseen impact of our actions and choosing to make a difference. Together, let’s give one meaningful hour for our planet, standing united to protect and preserve our only home. 🌍🌴

At the 2026 Regional Youth Forum, the Scouts of SPNHS-BSP proudly represent our community and work with other young leaders to create resolutions that seek to bring about significant change.

Beyond its formalities, the forum serves as a venue for unity where young leaders have meaningful conversations, discuss pertinent topics, and suggest creative ways to further Scouting. We work hard to make sure that the voice of our area is actively heard and significantly reflected in determining the direction of the movement.

The Fire Prevention Month officially opens with its kickoff activities led by the Bureau of Fire Protection – Calbayog City, marking the beginning of a month dedicated to promoting fire safety awareness and strengthening community preparedness.

The event highlights the importance of recognizing common fire hazards, practicing simple yet effective preventive measures at home and in school, and understanding the proper response during fire-related emergencies. Through informative discussions, demonstrations, and coordinated activities, participants are equipped with essential knowledge and skills to help reduce fire risks and protect lives and properties.

More than just a campaign, this kickoff serves as a reminder that fire prevention is a shared responsibility. By working together with vigilance, discipline, and cooperation, we create a safer and more resilient community. Indeed, in preventing fire incidents, no one stands alone—we stand united for safety.
