The Student Security Management Task Force (SSMTF) of the Bachelor of Science in Industrial Security Management (BSISM) program successfully conducted its General Assembly,
May 14, 2026 at BDC Rooftop.

​The assembly focused on the following key agenda:
​Accomplishment Presentation: A review of the organization’s projects and successful initiatives over the past term.
​Liquidation Report: A formal presentation of financial transparency and accountability.
​Selection of New Officers: The official election and appointment of the new set of student leaders for the SSMTF.

​Congratulations to the newly selected officers. We look forward to your leadership in upholding the standards of security and excellence within our department.

It is with great pride and shared optimism that the Institutional Supreme Student Council through the Office of the Student Regent, the commencement of the term of Atty. Lorelie F. Tangaran, DM, as our newly elected University President.

President Tangaran brings to the office a distinguished background in both law and management—a powerful synergy of discipline and strategic vision. Her leadership arrives at a pivotal moment, aligning perfectly with our collective aspiration to elevate NwSSU into a premier institution of higher learning.

On April 16, 2026, the Bachelor of Science in Industrial Security Management (BSISM) program successfully concluded its latest activity at the College of Criminal Justice and Science building rooftop.

The event was highlighted by the closing remarks of Mr. Lester D. Capending, who shared valuable insights and words of encouragement with the student body.
To celebrate the group's hard work and dedication, the afternoon included a formal awarding of certificates followed by a traditional boodle fight, fostering a strong sense of camaraderie and unity among the future security professionals of the BSISM program.

The Bachelor of Science in Industrial Security Management (BSISM) program successfully conducted on April 15, 2026 an Orientation Seminar on Fire Detection and Alarm Systems (FDAS) and Automatic Fire Suppression Systems , held at the College of Criminal Justice and Sciences Rooftop.

The proceedings commenced with a formal opening address by Ms. Jacquelyn V. Tapil, whose remarks emphasized the critical role of fire safety in the realm of industrial security.

We extend our professional gratitude to our distinguished guest lecturers from the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) for their invaluable contributions:

SFO1 Gladys Ann G. Lanuza, for her comprehensive discussion on the Nature and Characteristics of Fire, the Key Elements of Fire Safety, the Importance of a Fire Safety Plan, and an overview of Different Types of Occupancy and Fire Exit Drills.

SFO1 Joselito A. Pido Jr., for his expert technical lecture regarding Industrial Occupancy and the operational frameworks of Fire Detection and Alarm Systems (FDAS) and Automatic Fire Suppression Systems.

FO1 Salvador R. Villamor Jr., for sharing his specialized knowledge and field experience, as well as facilitating the practical Demonstration on the Proper Use of Fire Extinguishers.

The BSISM program remains committed to providing students with high-level training and exposure to industry experts. We thank our resource speakers for their time, effort, and dedication to fostering the next generation of security professionals.

Our second day was a success, focusing on Camaraderie, Strength, and Resilience. It was a day of high energy and creativity as we continued our activities.

Teams showed great spirit and toughness as the basketball exhibition continued. Students showcase their creativity by illustrating what unity and security mean to us.

These events are more than just games; they help us build the teamwork and character we need as future Industrial Security Management professionals.

The event commenced with a powerful opening remark by Dr. Joar Uy, followed by a welcoming message from Sir Lester Debuton Capending,
both emphasizing the importance of unity and professional growth.

​Throughout the day, students engaged in various team-building activities designed to foster engagement and department spirit. It was a productive day filled with fun, sportsmanship, and meaningful interactions among all year levels.
