The Bachelor of Science in Development Communication (BSDevCom) program of Northwest Samar State University conducted its general meeting for the First Semester of SY 2026-2027 on August 17, 2026 held at the DevCom Conference Room.

The meeting brought together the program's regular and part-time faculty members to ensure academic readiness, align instructional materials, and finalize program goals and objectives for the whole semester.

BSDevCom Program Chairperson, Ms. Rhea Jenny Ogalesco, spearheaded the meeting and presented the main agenda which centered on strategic planning for the semester and quality assurance.

A major highlight of the discussion was the presentation of results regarding the compliance of the program with the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) documents for Level III accreditation.
The discussion emphasized the continuous efforts of the program to maintain high standards of education in development communication through its curriculum.

In addition, together with the core faculty members, Ms. Lourence Mae Alkuino, Mr. Jose Gerwin Babon, Ms. Gina Dean, Ms. Precious Joyce Ogdoc, and Mr. Harold Mercurio, the calendar of activities for the entire semester was reviewed, discussed, and finalized.

These planned initiatives aim to enrich the learning experiences of students through practical applications of communication strategies inside and outside the NwSSU community. With finalized syllabi and aligned semester plans, the BSDevCom program heads into the new school year fully equipped to further strengthen its institutional accreditation.

Here is the 2nd Level Screening Schedule and the 1st batch of qualifiers for the 1st Semester, SY 2026-2027.

Screening starts on June 22-26 & 29 until July 3, 2026 (8AM to 5PM) at DevCom Computer Laboratory, 2nd/F CCJS Building. Please bring with you the following:
