The IIEE Calbayog Chapter, in collaboration with the JIIEE–NwSSU Chapter, successfully conducted a knowledge-enriching seminar entitled “ADVANCING SAFETY AND RELIABILITY IN ELECTRICAL AND FIRE PROTECTION SYSTEMS: COMPLIANCE, GROUNDING, FIRE PUMP FUNDAMENTALS, AND LOAD SCHEDULING.”
The event was participated in by 3rd and 4th year BS Electrical Engineering students together with Registered Electrical Engineers from Calbayog City, highlighting the commitment to continuous learning and professional development. Esteemed speakers shared their expertise on vital industry topics, including Engr. Allan M. Allogos, PME discussing “Integrated Fire Life Safety Compliance in Hotel Facilities,” Engr. Christopher M. De Leon, P*E presenting “Fundamentals of Fire Pump System as per PEC Article 6.95 of 2017,” Engr. Jonryl P. Novincio, P*E tackling “Preparation of Electrical Load Schedule,” Engr. Bryan A. Pasilan, P*E addressing “Grounding and Bonding Electrical System,” and Engr. Erwin J. Salvador, P*E explaining “Transformer: Principles, Operations, and Maintenance.”
This collaborative event strengthened the participants’ understanding of safety standards, design practices, and compliance requirements in electrical and fire protection systems, marking another milestone in promoting excellence among future and practicing electrical engineers.
