Patong–Happy Valley Integrated School Successfully Conducts 2026 SELG and SSLG Elections

Patong–Happy Valley Integrated School proudly celebrates the successful conduct of the Supreme Elementary Learner Government (SELG) and Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) elections for School Year 2026–2027. The electoral process, marked by enthusiasm, unity, and active participation, showcased the learners’ commitment to leadership, responsibility, and democratic values.

Room-to-Room Campaign
The campaign period officially kicked off with a room-to-room campaign on February 6, 2026. Candidates from both the elementary and secondary departments visited classrooms to personally introduce themselves, present their platforms of governance, and share their vision for the school community.
The room-to-room strategy allowed learners to directly interact with the aspiring officers, ask questions, and better understand their proposed projects and advocacies. This approach strengthened transparency and encouraged meaningful dialogue between candidates and voters.
Meeting de Avance
On February 16, 2026, the school held its much-anticipated Meeting de Avance, where candidates were given the opportunity to formally present their platforms before the larger school community. The event was filled with energy and school spirit as supporters cheered for their chosen leaders.
Each candidate confidently articulated plans centered on student welfare, academic excellence, school discipline, inclusivity, and engaging activities for the upcoming school year. The program also emphasized respect, sportsmanship, and fair play among all parties involved.

Election Day
The culmination of the electoral process took place on February 18, 2026, as learners cast their votes in an orderly and peaceful election. Teachers and designated election committees ensured that proper procedures were followed, maintaining the integrity and credibility of the voting process.
Students exercised their right to vote responsibly, demonstrating maturity and awareness of the importance of selecting capable leaders. The smooth flow of the election day reflected the school’s strong commitment to democratic principles and good governance.

Newly Elected Officers
With the successful completion of the elections, the newly elected SELG and SSLG officers are now entrusted with the responsibility of representing the student body for School Year 2026–2027. Their victory signifies not only the trust of their fellow learners but also the beginning of new opportunities to lead with integrity, dedication, and service.
The school administration extends its heartfelt congratulations to all elected officers and sincere appreciation to every candidate who bravely stepped forward to serve. Gratitude is also given to the teachers, election committee members, and students who contributed to the success of this important school event.
The 2026 SELG and SSLG elections stand as a testament to Patong–Happy Valley Integrated School’s commitment to nurturing young leaders and fostering a culture of participation, accountability, and unity within the school community.

A Milestone for PHVIS’ Teachers

PHVIS family would like to congratulate its six newly promoted teachers. This signifies that their great effort in teaching has paid off. The teachers earned their promotion through the Expanded Career Progression System, broken down as follows:
5 Teacher III
1 Teacher VI

The Expanded Career Progression System (ECPS) is a merit-based system providing clear career paths, new teaching ranks (Teacher IV-VII, Master Teacher V), and higher salaries for professional growth, allowing teachers to advance without necessarily leaving the classroom, ensuring recognition for teaching excellence and addressing slow promotion issues (DepEd.gov.ph)
This milestone proves your endurance, passion, and excellence in teaching profession. You are an inspiration not just to the teachers, but to the students as well.

This remarkable achievement was made possible through the support and passionate leadership of our School Head, Ms. Felylou P. Colinares, and the non- teaching personnel—thank you for being our foundation of strength and perseverance behind every success.

Once again, congratulations to our newly promoted teachers! May this serve as an even greater drive as you pursue greater heights in your teaching careers; more importantly, strengthen your purpose and inspire greater service to our learners.
