Today, we remember and, as a Catholic, pay respect to our departed faithfuls in CKC Community. Dedicated to our CKC former School Directors and admin, Employees, and Students.

As Fr Raymond OFM said, “pagbigigay pugay sa mga nauna na sa atin.” Thus, we also offer them prayers so that they may receive the eternal life that God promises to us.

We pray,
Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May their souls and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen

𝐋𝐮𝐤𝐞 𝟐𝟑:𝟑𝟓-𝟒𝟑
From the homily of Fr. Prisco Cajes, OFM, we have learned that Jesus is a King who reigns through mercy, compassion, and sacrifice, not earthly power, and that his kingdom is open to all who turn to him in faith, even at the last moment. With faith, Jesus will make us worthy of the Kingdom of God. We have to acknowledge Jesus as King. A king who is merciful and full of love.

In Jesus, our God, there is justice, peace, and love. We should proclaim His kingdom to others. We should speak to what is right and do the will of God. As cliche says, "Our children are our future." Let us break that! "Manindigan tayo!" Ang Kabataan ang ngayon! Ang Kabataan ang isa sa boses ng lahat upang manaig ang hustisya, kapayaan, at mamayani ang pagmamahalan sa ating bayan lalo na sa Pilipinas na pinamumugaran ngayon ng mga tiwali at korap na mga tao.

Nota Bene: the Solemnity of Christ the King is celebrated by the whole Church on Sunday, tomorrow.

In today’s mass, we are reminded to present ourselves to God wholeheartedly just as Mary when she was presented by her parents St Joaquin and St Anne. But she was presented not merely as it is but for a great mission of holiness.

We should understand that as a Child of God, we should not permit ourselves to present fake happiness, distorted freedom, and lies of truths. Remember that real joy is to present yourself to God.

In today’s gospel, Jesus weeps for Jerusalem's rejection of His message of peace, foreseeing that their failure to recognize him would lead to their destruction. The gospel calls us to be attentive to God's presence in our lives, which is often communicated through gentle guidance, loved ones, or significant life events. It reminds us to open our hearts to Jesus' invitation to peace and love, and not be distracted by worldly concerns or a focus on material things. Then, encourages us to respond to God's love by repenting and turning away from evil, living in His light, and extending that same love, mercy, and compassion to others.

October 20 | 8𝒕𝒉 𝑷𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒃𝒚𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒍 𝑨𝒏𝒏𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒂𝒓𝒚

𝙋𝙖𝙭 𝙚𝙩 𝙗𝙤𝙣𝙪𝙢!

On this special day marking the 8th Presbytery Anniversary of Fr. Francis C. Moneda, OFM, we want to express our deepest gratitude and admiration for his faithful service and loving guidance. For eight years, Fr. Francis has been a steadfast presence in our lives, especially as our second father in the aspirancy house. His care, wisdom, and encouragement have been a true gift to me and to all of us who are walking this path of formation.

Fr. Francis has constantly shown us what it means to persevere in faith and commitment. His example reminds us of the words in Hebrews 12:1-2: “Let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith.” Through his dedication, We have learned to keep our eyes on Christ and to hold firm even when challenges arise. He has taught us the importance of patience and trust in God’s plan, and we are deeply grateful for his fatherly presence in our life.

Today, we pray that God grants Fr. Francis continued strength and perseverance in his ministry. May he be filled with joy, peace, and renewed energy as he carries out his calling. We thank him from the bottom of our hearts for being a guiding light and a source of support. His influence has shaped not only our journey but the journeys of many others, and we look forward to witnessing the continued blessings God will bring through his faithful service.

In the culmination of the 9-day Novena, the Procession of St. Francis of Assisi was held in honor of St. Francis of Assisi.

We would like to thank everyone who attended our Novena Masses. Thank you for celebrating with us in faith and devotion to celebrate the life and spirit of St. Francis.

𝗣𝗮𝘅 𝗲𝘁 𝗕𝗼𝗻𝘂𝗺!

St Francis of Assisi, pray for us...

𝗪𝗵𝗼 𝗪𝗮𝘀 𝗦𝘁. 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘀𝗶?

Born 𝗚𝗶𝗼𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶 𝗱𝗶 𝗣𝗶𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗼 𝗱𝗶 𝗕𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗲, Francis was the son of a wealthy cloth merchant in Assisi, Italy. He lived a privileged and wild youth, enjoying expensive clothes, parties, and the dream of becoming a knight.

He praised God the Artist in every one of God’s works. Whatever joy he found in created things, he referred to their Maker. He rejoiced in all the works of God’s hands, hearing in all of it the message: “He who made us is infinitely good!”

𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗹𝘀 “𝗯𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿” 𝗼𝗿 “𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿” 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺 𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗚𝗼𝗱. He would go through the streets and byways, inviting everyone to sing with him. Once, when he came upon an almond tree, he said, “Brother Almond, speak to me of God.” Then the almond tree blossomed.

That is what St. Francis of Assisi did, and that is what he continues to do for us when we embrace his life and teachings. He makes us blossom, wherever and whoever we are. We blossom because, through Francis, we see what can happen to us if we embrace the overflowing goodness of God revealed in all creation, and let that embrace transform us.

His life changed dramatically after several spiritual awakenings:

𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: In 1202, Francis was captured during a war between Assisi and Perugia. He spent nearly a year as a prisoner, during which he fell ill and began to experience visions from God.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘃𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁: After his release, while praying before a crucifix in the dilapidated church of San Damiano, he reportedly heard the voice of Christ saying, “Francis, go and repair my church.”

𝗥𝗲𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲: When his father became furious over Francis’s newfound religious zeal, Francis publicly renounced his inheritance and all worldly possessions. He even returned his clothes to his father, at which point the local bishop covered him with his cloak.
