The NWSSU CAT-Collegiate Student Council (CSC), in collaboration with the Student Body Organizations (SBO) (4H SMART, PAFT–NSC, and SITE) and the College of Agriculture and Technology (CAT) Faculty, in partnership with the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP–Calbayog), successfully conducted a joint outreach program for the fire victims in Brgy. Jimautan, Calbayog City.

Through 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐂𝐀𝐓𝐁𝐔𝐋𝐈𝐆 and “𝐒𝐀𝐅𝐄 𝐁𝐫𝐠𝐲. 𝐉𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐚𝐧” (Support and Awareness for Fire Emergencies), the initiative provided both immediate relief assistance and fire safety education to affected families. Relief goods such as food, clothing, and hygiene kits were distributed, while a Fire Prevention and Safety Orientation strengthened community awareness and preparedness.

This collaborative effort reflects the true spirit of bayanihan—uniting students, faculty, organizations, and public service partners in extending help, hope, and resilience to communities in need. 💚

𝘾𝘼𝙇𝘽𝘼𝙔𝙊𝙂 𝘾𝙄𝙏𝙔

A recent fire incident in 𝐁𝐫𝐠𝐲. 𝐉𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐚𝐧 has left 99 individuals and their families in urgent need of support – including our very own Erika Hebierto, a 2nd Year Automotive student from NWSSU’s College of Agriculture and Technology (CAT). Many, like Erika and her loved ones, have lost their homes and essential belongings, struggling to access basic necessities like 𝙛𝙤𝙤𝙙, 𝙘𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙣 𝙬𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙧, 𝙨𝙝𝙚𝙡𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙨𝙪𝙥𝙥𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙨, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙘𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙞𝙩𝙚𝙢𝙨.

We are launching 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗝𝗘𝗖𝗧 𝗖𝗔𝗧𝗕𝗨𝗟𝗜𝗚 and calling on all kind-hearted individuals, organizations, and partners to join us in extending a helping hand. Your donations – whether in cash or in kind – will directly benefit Erika and the other affected families, bringing much-needed relief during this difficult time.

Notice to all CAT Students

The CCS-CAT Officers will be facilitating a Clean-Up Drive aimed at promoting campus cleanliness and environmental responsibility. This initiative seeks to foster a sense of pride and ownership among students in maintaining a clean and healthy environment conducive to learning and growth.

NOTICE

Clearance signing, which was previously put on hold, will resume from January 5- 10, 2026. This will be held at the Food Processing Area. We encourage all students who have pending clearances to take this opportunity to complete the necessary procedures.

The release of the 2nd batch of Intramurals T-shirts will also be done during the same period. The schedule is as follows: 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM (morning schedule) and 1:30 PM - 5:00 PM (afternoon schedule).

IMPORTANT: Please present your receipt upon claiming your T-shirt and for clearance signing. All transactions will be handled personally.
