The science officers had the incredible opportunity to collaborate with the YES-O Officers for a successful clean-up drive inside and outside the school. As we continue to engage in such activities we can foster a culture of environmental stewardship, ensuring a cleaner planet for future generations and importance of maintaining a clean environment.

Let us embrace our roles as caretakers of the Earth, orchestrating a brighter future for generations to come. Together, we can create lasting change one clean-up at a time.

𝐎𝐍𝐇𝐒𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝐫𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐚 𝐬𝐚 𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐬 𝐄𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐐𝐮𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒; 𝐓𝐢𝐠𝐥𝐞𝐲 𝐧𝐚𝐬𝐮𝐧𝐠𝐤𝐢𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐤𝐨𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐚

Matagumpay na nasungkit ni Miss Thirdy Tigley, mag-aaral mula sa ika-11 baitang, ang korona bilang Miss Environmental Queen 2024, na ginanap sa Oquendo National High School covered court kahapon, ika-27 ng Setyembre, taong kasalukuyan, na syang parte ng selebrasyon ng National Science Month 2024 na may temang "Towards a Shared Vision: Exploring the future for a Better Tomorrow."

Ang pagkakaroon ng Miss Environmental Queen ay maaring magsilbing isang boses para sa LGBTQIA+ community, na nagtataguyod ng kanilang karapatan, magbigay pagkakataon na makilala ang kanilang mga sarili, pagtanggap, maunawaan, at pagkakaisa ng iba't ibang sektor ng lipunan.

Ang programa ay sinimulan sa pag-awit ng Lupang Hinirang na sinundan naman ng isang panalangin, sumunod ang pambungad na mensahe ni Gng. Lady Ladrero, koordineytor ng Departamentong Agham.

Sa ikalawang bahagi pinakilala ni Gng. Amabelle Aralar ang mga hurado habang binigay naman ni Gng. Rosalina Palogar ang krayterya sa paghuhusga.

Sumunod naman nito ay nagpakitang gilas ang mga Hadang SIRAC-TAO Dancers sa kanilang ma-enerhiyang sayaw bilang introduksiyon sa pagpapakilala ng mga kalahok na nagmula sa ikapito (7) hanggang sa ikalabindalawang (12) baitang at kung saan ang nagsisilbing tagapagpadaloy ng programa ay si Gng. Edna Cabillan.

Ginanap naman ang rampahan ng kasuotan ng mga kandidata na nagpapakita ng malikahaing disenyo na mula sa mga niresiklong mga materyales, pagkatapos ay sinundan ng pagpapakita ng iba't ibang talento na nagbigay daan sa mga kalahok na maipakita ang kanilang kakayahan sa pagsayaw at pag-arte upang mapaunlad ang kanilang kumpiyansa.

Sa huli, pinarangalan bilang Miss Environmental Queen 2024 at Best in Environmental Costume si Miss Thirdy Tigley ng ika-11 baitang. Nakatanggap naman ng parangal bilang Best in Talent at bilang 2nd runner up ang mag-aaral na nagmula sa ika-10 baitang na si John Jhoper Titoy, at sya ring nakatanggap ng special award na Rham Glamour. Habang kinilala naman bilang Ms. Hamonini at 3rd runner up ang mag-aaral na si Billy Sagadal, mag-aaral ng ika-12 baitang; at ang mag-aaral ng ika-7 baitang na si Raven Kyle Tamota ang nakatanggap ng special award na Miss Avon.

In solidarity with those impacted by the recent heavy rainfall and subsequent flooding in various areas, The Stone, in partnership with ONHS organizations, is spearheading a donation drive to aid affected communities, particularly Oquendo and neighboring barangays which are prone to flooding.
