𝑪𝑨𝑳𝑳 𝑭𝑶𝑹 𝑷𝑨𝑷𝑬𝑹𝑺! 𝐃𝐄𝐀𝐃𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐄 𝐄𝐗𝐓𝐄𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐃

The faculty and staff of Northwest Samar State University are invited to submit their research proposals and/or terminal reports for presentation at the 1st Institutional Research and Development In-house Review for 2026, to be held on April 22-23, 2026, at the University Hotel & Restaurant Function Room.

Because of issues with the original schedule and the postponement of the 3rd ICRMG, the Office of Research and Development Services has agreed to move the In-house Review to an earlier date. Furthermore, the deadline for Proposal and Terminal Report Submissions is now April 15, 2026.

𝐏𝐎𝐒𝐓𝐏𝐎𝐍𝐄𝐃 𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐥 𝐟𝐮𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞

We regret to announce the postponement of this year's 3rd International Conference on Resource Management and Governance (ICRMG), originally scheduled this April 21-23, 2026 to be held at Calbayog City, Samar, Philippines. This decision was not made lightly and reflects our commitment to the safety, well-being, and preparedness of all participants.

In light with the prevailing world crisis and geopolitical hostilities in the Middle East, the global energy supply chains have been severely disrupted and caused significant volatility in the international fuel markets affecting the global economy, which sadly includes the Philippines.
In direct response, the Philippine government has issued Executive Order No. 11 s. 2026 formally declaring a State of National Energy Emergency, and Memorandum Circular No. 114 s. 2026 that directs all government agencies and offices to strictly adopt energy conservation protocols effective immediately.

These issuances reflect the gravity of the current global situation and its direct impact on domestic operations and resources.

In addition to the above issuances, our pre-conference attendance confirmation survey which closed as of today, April 10, revealed that fewer than 50% of registered participants have confirmed their attendance. Proceeding under these conditions would not serve the academic purpose and collaborative spirit that this conference is designed to foster.

The conference organizing committee will closely monitor the evolving global situation and coordinate with university administration to determine a suitable rescheduled date within this year. All registered participants will be notified of the new date through our official email as soon as it is confirmed.

All submitted abstracts, paper registrations, and conference materials will be honored for the rescheduled event.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this postponement may cause and express our deep gratitude for your continued understanding and support. We look forward to convening with the international academic community under more stable and conducive circumstances.

As the ITSO Presidents’ Summit and General Assembly 2026 officially opens this morning, held at Diversion 21 Hotel, Ilo-ilo City, Philippines, the Innovation office of Northwest Samar State University received a Platinum Award together with a 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗽𝘆𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁.

The said award was received by the presence of Dr. Riz Rupert L. Ortiz, Vice President for Research, Innovation and Extension Office, on behalf of the University President - Dr. Benjamin L. Pecayo, together with the presence of the Innovation Director - Dr. Ervin L. Rodriguez and the ITSO Head – Mr. Novlloyd E. Celeste, EnP.

This recognition not only confirms the Innovation Office’s significant contribution to the University but also highlights NwSSU’s Service and Integrity to Innovation and Technology movement to success.
