School Principal Mr. Crisanto T. Pacho, together with Punong Barangay Alan B. Abrito, paid a courtesy visit to Hon. Raymund C. Uy, Calbayog City Mayor to discuss key educational development initiatives for Nijaga Elementary School.

Mayor Uy expressed strong support for the proposed construction of additional classroom buildings and affirmed his commitment to the conversion of Nijaga Elementary School into an Integrated School—an important milestone toward expanding opportunities for our learners.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mayor Raymund "Monmon" C. Uy, Punong Barangay Alan B. Abrito, and the Barangay Nijaga Council for their continued partnership and dedication to advancing quality education in the community.

This shared vision was further strengthened by the encouragement and endorsement of SDS Dr. Margarito A. Cadayona Jr. during his visit to Nijaga Elementary School on June 2, 2026.

📚 Building Dreams, Opening Opportunities: Nijaga ES Begins SY 2026-2027 📚

June 8, 2026 — Nijaga Elementary School successfully opened School Year 2026–2027 through a meaningful and well-attended opening program that highlighted the strong partnership among the school, local government units, education officials, and community stakeholders.

The activity was graced by Barangay officials headed by Punong Barangay Hon. Alan B. Abrito, who reaffirmed the barangay’s commitment to supporting educational initiatives and programs that benefit the learners of Nijaga Elementary School.

Also present during the event were Calbayog IV District Adopter Dr. Nelson R. Bello and Public Schools District Supervisor Mr. Jose O. Abon, whose attendance demonstrated their continued support for the school’s endeavors and the welfare of its learners.

One of the highlights of the program was the distribution of school bags donated by the Local Government Unit of Calbayog City through the leadership of Mayor Raymund “Monmon” C. Uy. The distribution aimed to assist pupils in preparing for the new academic year and to provide them with essential school materials needed for learning.

In his welcome message, School Principal Mr. Crisanto T. Pacho expressed his gratitude to the local government officials, education leaders, parents, and stakeholders for their unwavering support. He encouraged the learners to embrace the opportunities of the new school year with enthusiasm, determination, and a commitment to excellence.

A significant part of the opening program was the presentation of the signed proposal for the construction of a new school building for Nijaga Elementary School. The proposal, spearheaded by School Principal Mr. Crisanto T. Pacho as proponent, aims to address the growing infrastructure needs of the school and provide learners with a more conducive and comfortable learning environment.

The proposal received the full support of the Barangay Council of Nijaga under the leadership of Punong Barangay Hon. Alan B. Abrito and was duly endorsed by Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Margarito A. Cadayona Jr. of the Schools Division Office of Calbayog. The initiative reflects a collective commitment to enhancing educational facilities and ensuring better learning opportunities for the pupils of Nijaga Elementary School.

The successful opening of classes and the presentation of the school building proposal underscored the shared vision of the school and its partners in advancing quality education and fostering holistic development among learners.

As School Year 2026–2027 officially begins, Nijaga Elementary School remains steadfast in its mission to provide accessible, inclusive, and quality education while continuously pursuing programs and projects that will contribute to the growth and success of every learner.

Schools Division Superintendent (SDS) Dr. Margarito A. Cadayona Jr. visited Nijaga Elementary School to conduct an inspection and assessment of the school’s facilities continuing efforts to ensure a safe, functional, and learner-friendly educational environment.

Joining the visit was Hon. Alan B. Abrito, Punong Barangay of Barangay Nijaga, who accompanied the Schools Division Superintendent during the inspection. The visit provided an opportunity to evaluate the current condition of the school’s infrastructure and identify areas for further improvement and development.

During the inspection, Dr. Cadayona assessed various school facilities and emphasized the importance of maintaining a conducive learning environment that supports the academic growth and well-being of learners. He also shared valuable insights, recommendations, and encouragement to further strengthen the school’s programs and initiatives.

✨School Brigada Eskwela Kick-Off 2026 Successfully Launched at Nijaga Elementary School✨

Theme: “Bayanihan sa Paaralan: Nagkakaisa para sa Kaayusan at Kaalaman”

June 2, 2026 - Nijaga Elementary School officially launched its Brigada Eskwela Kick-Off 2026 with the theme, “Bayanihan sa Paaralan: Nagkakaisa para sa Kaayusan at Kaalaman,” bringing together various stakeholders, community leaders, volunteers, and parents in a collective effort to prepare the school for the upcoming academic year.

The program was led by School Principal Mr. Crisanto T. Pacho, who welcomed the guests and stakeholders and emphasized the importance of community participation in creating a safe, clean, and conducive learning environment for all learners. He also expressed his gratitude to all partners and volunteers for their unwavering support of the school’s programs and initiatives.

The activity was attended by the presence of the Police Officers of Calbayog City, who provided security and support, ensuring a safe and orderly conduct of the kick-off program.

Also present were the Barangay Officials headed by Hon. Alan B. Abrito, together with the members of the Barangay Council: Hon. Elisa R. Casurao, Hon. Danilo O. Robles, Hon. Ma. Romella C. Dee, Hon. The kick-off also gathered parents, Brigada Eskwela volunteers, and other stakeholders who willingly shared their time, effort, and resources in the spirit of bayanihan. The school extends its heartfelt gratitude to Ms. Angelica Sarong, ARAL Summer Tutor of Nijaga Elementary School, for serving as the Master of Ceremonies and for facilitating the program with enthusiasm and professionalism.

Special recognition is likewise given to the hardworking personnel who played vital roles in organizing and ensuring the success of the Brigada Eskwela Kick-Off. These include Mrs. Desewin T. Partusa, Brigada Eskwela Coordinator; Mrs. Emma C. Bolaño, Adopt-A-School Program Coordinator; Mrs. Mary Grace J. Garcia, Administrative Officer II; and Ms. Amabelle D. Juanerio, School Clerk.
