To build a strong partnership between the school and the community, the First School Parent-Teacher Association meeting was successfully held at Yaganak Elementary School covered court on June 11, 2026. The assembly aimed to update parents on school operations, discuss new guidelines, present the financial report, and elect the new officers for the upcoming school year. The event was well-attended by parents, guardians, and teachers who are all committed to supporting the development of the learners.
To establish familiarity and open lines of communication, the school administration formally introduced the teachers and school personnel. This allowed parents to recognize and get to know the educators who will guide their children throughout the academic year.
The core of the meeting focused on important updates about school operations and learner welfare. First, Sir Eduardo R. Reduta explained the new three-term policy of DepEd, discussing how this calendar shift changes class schedules and grading periods to keep parents aligned with the new academic structure. Next, Ma'am Trenitas S. Cana discussed keypoint from the Student Handbook, while reminding parents of their shared responsibility in keeping the learning environment safe. Moreover, Ma'am Elenor Deduyo talked about school programs and community involvement, highlighting key points regarding Brigada Eskwela, the Adopt-a-School Program, and how parents and stakeholders can contribute their time and effort to help improve the school.
In the spirit of transparency and accountability, Ma'am Jenny Valencia, the treasurer for School Year 2025โ2026, presented the financial status of the association. She stated the total amount of funds collected from the previous school year and officially reported that this amount has already been fully remitted to the school. The report was opened for floor reviews and was approved by the body.
The final major agenda of the assembly was the selection of the new community leaders. Ma'am Joan R. Catan efficiently led and facilitated the election process. Nominations were opened to the body, ensuring a democratic and orderly voting procedure.
