🍃 The Youth for Environment in Schools – Organization (YES-O) of Calatrava Senior High School – Stand Alone proudly led a campus-wide clean-up drive dedicated to maintaining a clean, safe, healthy, and welcoming school environment for all learners, teachers, faculty, and staff. 🏫💚

Through this initiative, we aim to promote environmental responsibility and inspire everyone to take part in creating a school community where we can learn, grow, and thrive in a healthier and more positive atmosphere. 💚💛

We extend our sincerest appreciation to everyone who participated, cooperated, and generously shared their time, energy, and effort to make this activity a meaningful success. Your commitment and teamwork truly made a difference! 🙌🏻✨

𝗦𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺𝘀, 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆

On 𝘈𝘶𝘨𝘶𝘴𝘵 5, 2025, classroom leaders alongside YES-O officers gathered to discuss key plans that are bound to help create a cleaner, more organized, and more responsible school community. The meeting covered classroom monitoring schedule and criteria, the assignment of monitoring officers, acknowledgement through classroom cleanliness and responsibility recognition, proper waste segregation and disposal practices, and other important matters brought up during the open forum.

Together, they are building a community where responsibility is shared, cleanliness is valued and every small action contributes to a better learning community.

The Youth for Environment in School - Organization (YES-O) proudly joins the campaign for peace, reaffirming its commitment to not only protect the environment, ensure a clean and green campus where students reside, but also, its commitment goes as far as to foster a respectful and inclusive community for learners, hoping it becomes a safe place for students to go to. YES-O believes that a truly healthy environment is way beyond just clean surroundings—it is a community where kindness is practiced, differences and diversities are embraced and respected, and every student feels valued, accepted, and free from judgement.

With the help of the Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) and Barkada Kontra Droga (BKD), the objective is to ensure that every learner within the school’s jurisdiction is included, respected, embraced and not neglected. These organizations will stand by and will heed to the calls of the learners who might be in need of help, experiencing bullying.

Just as we care for the environment, we must also care for one another by empathy over judgment, respect over stereotypes and discrimination, and peace over harm and violence.

Through this initiative, YES-O proudly stands with our school in promotion peace, unity and compassion. Together, let us continue to be advocates of respect. Let our voice be voices against bullying. And lastly, let us be champions of a culture where everyone is included. May we build a community where peace is not only reflected by our environment, but also in our words, actions, and our choices.

Starting tomorrow, the YES-O Classroom Cleanliness Monitoring officially begins! 🌿

During 𝗠𝗢𝗡𝗗𝗔𝗬𝗦 and 𝗧𝗛𝗨𝗥𝗦𝗗𝗔𝗬𝗦, classrooms will be monitored to recognize sections that consistently keep their learning spaces clean, organized, and eco-friendly. The cleanest classrooms will be awarded Certificates of Recognition—so yes, those five seconds it takes to throw your trash in the bin might just be worth it. 🏆♻️

This is your friendly reminder to pick up that random candy wrapper, arrange your chairs, sweep the floor, and kindly remind the mysterious person who always says, "Hindi akin 'yan," that the trash can is there for a reason. 😭🗑️

🍃 The Youth for Environment in Schools - Organization of CSHS-SA joined in the “Dalaw-Turo” that the DENR Tañon Strait Protected Seascape Northeast Negros Site Management Unit with the assistance of Student Interns Fisheries Students of State University of Northern Negros held at Calatrava Senior High School – Stand Alone, advocating for the protection of the environment and marine life in the Tañon Seascape. 🌊✨

We had our speakers and visitors, 𝓒𝓻𝓲𝓼𝓹𝓮𝓻 𝓜. 𝓒𝓪𝓵𝓲𝔁𝓽𝓸𝓷 Forest Technician 2, 𝓣𝓮𝓻𝓮𝓼𝓪 𝓡𝓸𝓼𝓪 𝓘𝓷𝓰𝓻𝓲𝓭 𝓜𝓾𝓽𝔂𝓪 𝓡. 𝓒𝓸𝓵𝓵𝓪𝓷𝓭𝓮𝓻 FT2, 𝓙𝓪𝓷𝓪𝓻𝓲 𝓚𝓲𝓶𝓲𝓮 𝓜. 𝓜𝓪𝔂𝓪𝓰𝓶𝓪 FT 2, Giar O Badioso Technical Support Staff, 𝓽𝓪𝓯𝓯, 𝓚𝓪𝓻𝓲𝓷 𝓚𝓲𝓽 𝓢. 𝓕𝓪𝓬𝓽𝓾𝓻𝓪𝓷 Admin Assistant, and 𝓖𝓵𝓮𝓷𝓶𝓸𝓻𝓮 𝓐. 𝓒𝓪𝔂𝓪𝓫 Protected Area Ranger.

Earlier this morning, the YES-O President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Grade 11 & 12 Academic Representatives conducted a brief room-to-room campaign on the school's Solid Waste Management plan. ✨

This campaign focused on informing our Grade 11 learners about the proper waste segregation, proper waste disposal, and other small ways to support the plan and to ensure it flows in order for the school year. 💚
