𝘚𝘢 𝘱𝘢𝘨𝘨𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘢 𝘯𝘨 Ninoy Aquino Day ngayong Agosto 21, ating binibigyang-pugay ang buhay, katapangan, at paninindigan ni 𝘽𝙚𝙣𝙞𝙜𝙣𝙤 “𝙉𝙞𝙣𝙤𝙮” 𝘼𝙦𝙪𝙞𝙣𝙤 𝙅𝙧., na naging mahalagang bahagi ng kasaysayan ng ating bansa.

Sa kabila ng mga pagsubok at panganib na kanyang hinarap, ipinakita ni Ninoy Aquino ang kahalagahan ng paninindigan, tapang, at pagmamahal sa bayan. Ang kanyang buhay at sakripisyo ay nagsisilbing paalala sa bawat Pilipino na ang kalayaan at demokrasya ay mga pagpapahalagang nararapat nating pahalagahan at pangalagaan.

🌧️🌱 Rain to Roots: Strengthening Community Rainwater Collection and Flow Systems💧🌍

The event with the theme “Rain to Roots: Strengthening Community Rainwater Collection and Flow Systems” was held on August 1, 2026, at Barangay Carretunan, Calatagan, Batangas. The activity was led by GeoHazards International, together with youth volunteers, teachers, and barangay staff and officials.

The initiative aimed to help the community address the issue of flooding by introducing practical and sustainable solutions through proper rainwater collection and flow systems. During the event, participants were also given a demonstration on how to build a water filtration system and learned how it can help provide cleaner water and support the needs of households.

The activity served as a meaningful opportunity for the youth and the community to learn about environmental responsibility and the importance of working together in building a safer, more sustainable, and resilient community. 🌱💧🤝

Bilang mga Mangrove Warriors, sama-sama nating pinangangalagaan ang ating mga bakawan isang mahalagang yaman na nagsisilbing tahanan ng iba’t ibang yamang-dagat at panangga sa pagguho ng lupa at pagbaha.

Ang matibay nitong struktura ay tumutulong sa pagprotekta sa ating mga baybayin, habang ang masustansyang soil ang nagbibigay-buhay sa kalikasan. Sa ating pagkakaisa at malasakit, naging matagumpay ang misyong ito at nag-iwan ng pag-asa para sa mas luntiang kinabukasan.

Sa bawat punlang ating itinatanim, nag-iiwan tayo ng ambag para sa pangangalaga ng ating kalikasan. Nawa’y magsilbi itong inspirasyon sa bawat isa na patuloy na makiisa sa mga gawaing naglalayong protektahan at ibalik ang sigla ng ating kapaligiran. Ang tunay na pagbabago ay nagsisimula sa simpleng pagkilos at sama-samang pagtutulungan para sa ikabubuti ng ating komunidad at ng mga susunod pang henerasyon.

As advocates for nature, the Youth for Environment in Schools Organization (YES-O) encourages every student to master the basics of proper waste segregation! 𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘨𝘶𝘪𝘥𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘱 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘦𝘹𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘭𝘺 𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘰𝘳𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘴𝘩, 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘨𝘰𝘦𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘔𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘙𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘍𝘢𝘤𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺 (𝘔𝘙𝘍), and how small actions keep our campus and community clean.

✅ 🌿 𝘽𝙞𝙤𝙙𝙚𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙙𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚 𝙒𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙚 – Fruit peels, leftover food, dried leaves, and garden scraps break down naturally into compost – also papers! Separate these so they can turn into nutrient-rich fertilizer instead of taking up space in landfills!

✅ 🗑️ 𝙉𝙤𝙣-𝘽𝙞𝙤𝙙𝙚𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙙𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚 𝙒𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙚 – Items that do not rot need extra care! Keep soiled, mixed, or unrecyclable trash separate so it does not contaminate compost or items we can recover.

⚠️ ☢️ 𝙏𝙤𝙭𝙞𝙘 & 𝙎𝙥𝙚𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙡 𝙒𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙚 – Batteries, chemicals, expired medicine, paint, and broken electronics are never for regular bins! Drop these off at our school’s designated hazardous waste section only.

🏭 📤 𝙁𝙤𝙧 𝙊𝙪𝙧 𝙈𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙖𝙡 𝙍𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮 𝙁𝙖𝙘𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙮 (𝙈𝙍𝙁) – Clean, rinse, and flatten your recyclables before bringing them to the MRF! Only properly sorted and clean waste can be processed into new products — contamination ruins everything we work to recover!

Proper segregation starts with YOU, right in your own classroom and home. When we sort right, we waste less, protect our environment, and help our community recover valuable resources for everyone.
