PLC on Developing Leadership Skills of Teachers

A Professional Learning Community (PLC) session on “Developing Leadership Skills of Teachers” was conducted on September 16, 2026, facilitated by Dr. Chita R. Millan, School Directress/Principal.

Dr. Millan emphasized that “Leadership is not a position. Leadership is influence. Leadership is service. Leadership is responsibility.” She also shared practical ways to develop leadership skills: self-reflection, finding a mentor, taking small steps, engaging in professional learning, and creating a feedback culture.

The session provided teachers with meaningful insights and practical perspectives on becoming effective teacher-leaders who inspire others, support their colleagues, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the school and the development of learners.

Double SGO Service Projects: A September of Giving

The CEC Student Government Organization (SGO) carried out two community service initiatives this September, extending support to families in need in Calasiao.

On September 4, the SGO distributed 5-kg rice packs to flood-affected families in Brgy. Lasip, generously provided as love gifts by the CEC Administration/Millan Family.

On September 17, the SGO conducted another rice distribution in Brgy. Lumbang, with 3-kg rice packs made possible through the generous donations of CEC parents and guardians.

High School Symposium

To help our high school learners prepare for their upcoming quizzes and examinations, the Guidance Office conducted a symposium last August 27, 2026, ably facilitated by Teacher Leslie Austria.

Students were reminded that exams are not meant to scare them, but opportunities to demonstrate what they have learned. Success is not just about studying hard—it’s about preparing well.

Celebrating Nutrition Month 2026

The month of July was dedicated to the celebration of Nutrition Month. To highlight this occasion, the students, under the guidance of their teachers, prepared a morning filled with meaningful and enjoyable activities on July 31, 2026.

Grade 7 and Grade 9 students showcased lively Nutri-Dances, while the Kindergarten and Grade 1 pupils delighted the audience with short sayings and poems about fruits and vegetables. Exciting games also brought together the entire student body, with parents enthusiastically joining in the fun. Following the program, the students visited exhibits & tables creatively decorated with an attractive variety of fruits and vegetables of the other grade levels. The colorful and appetizing displays truly made everyone's mouth water.

Through this celebration, it is hoped that the students' awareness of the importance of proper nutrition and healthy eating habits will be strengthened, inspiring them to make healthier choices every day.

The last Professional Learning Community (PLC) event on “Encouraging Student Engagement in Class” was held last Feb. 24, 2026, ably handled by Mrs. Gabriela M. Biason, the Asst. Principal. Though held later than planned, the lecture reaffirmed a core truth of teaching: engaging students is not optional but a daily responsibility every teacher must intentionally apply every day to make learning truly effective.
