“Family Conflicts/Crisis” was the topic in the recently concluded Professional Learning Community (PLC) of teachers & staff last Nov. 15, 2025. Mrs. Janet Viado-Albano, the able facilitator, described what a good family is and factors that help build one. She emphasized the importance of open communication & mutual respect among family members, noting their significant impact on everyday life.

She also discussed various forms of abuse & crimes that place families in crisis. She stressed that when one’s rights, especially those of women & children, are violated, help should be sought immediately. Government agencies and NGOs that address these concerns were also mentioned. Indeed, when people live in families free from violence, where they experience safety, healing and freedom, what a wonderful world it would be!

Our dedicated teachers and non-teaching staff gathered for the Bible Study com Professional Learning Community on “How To Enjoy Life” last October 22, 2025. Dr. Chita R. Millan, Principal/Guidance Counselor, kicked off the activity with this remark: “the topic was chosen to address your personal need as extracted from the survey conducted at the start of the school year.”

Trusting that with the insights and perspectives from the lecture which are supported by bible verses, the employees are led to find renewed joy, faith, and purpose. In so doing, they can continue inspiring the students not only to learn, but to truly live with gratitude and hope. Because when we learn to enjoy life now, we reflect God’s goodness and teach our children the beauty of living with joy and faith every day. “Life is God’s gift to us. What we do with it is our gift to God.” (A. R. Bernard)

"Learning to lead by serving!” This was sharply pointed out by Mr. Gerald V. Paragas, the guest facilitator during the leadership training among high school students last October 15, 2025. He underscored with intensity the more essential skills of student leaders such as: communication & listening, teamwork & empathy, decision making & responsibility, practicing leadership every day, and inspiring others. Bringing with him his insights in Urban and Environmental Planning, and in Cultural Mapping, plus his many leadership positions when a young student and government official of Sta. Barbara, Pangasinan, indisputably, CEC students gained valuable lessons, becoming a figure the students admired and aspired to be like. Thank you, Kuya Gerald for inspiring a generation of students to rise as capable and compassionate leaders!

The choice of career is undeniably one of the most crucial decisions one makes in life. Acknowledging this, the Guidance Center undertook lately 3 successive symposia on Career Guidance with the Grade 10 & 9 students. The first centered on interest and personality inventory; followed by factors to consider in choosing a career, and college admission processes. By these, it is hoped that as early as now, our students will be able to choose their career with utmost care, thought, and planning, considering their innate abilities, aptitudes, interests/hobbies, values, among others.
