INDIVIDUAL INVENTORY
- The aim of this service is to secure and compile student's personal records and other data which are to be used primarily by the counselor and students themselves. These data would help both the counselor and students to come up with ways and solutions for better adjustment of the students in his college life. Result of Psychological Tests taken such as Medical and Dental Ch
eck up done by the School Doctor, Dentist and a Nurse are also added here. Each individual record of information must be updated, maintained and organized, and be kept confidential.
2. INFORMATION SERVICE
- This service guide students and faculty members on rules and regulations of the school for better understanding. Students are also informed about the student activities, seminars and workshop conducted by the different colleges in coordination with the guidance and counseling office.
3. COUNSELING SERVICES
- There are Four (4) guidance counselor whom the students can approach to set an appointment for basic counseling and testing. These guidance counselor are professionally trained to listen and guide students in giving solution and recommendation to their problems. Peer Facilitators/Mediators who are also bona fide of PhilCST students who are trained can also counsel, but with minor problems only. Individual counseling and group counseling who also need immediate counseling are also entertained for faster solution/recommendation.
4. TESTING SERVICES
- This service enable students to undergo such various psychological test for them to know their IQ, academic performance, personality, aptitude and interest for their proper placement and classification.
5. PLACEMENT SERVICE
- Career Guidance is conducted to the graduating students in coordination with the Philippine Employment Service Organization of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE). This service cater students to teach them how to prepare foe an interview and make a professional resume when applying for a job as the case maybe. Create awareness and appreciation of the different stages of life and professional career when it comes to work employment.
6. FOLLOW-UP SERVICE
- The Guidance Office conducts follow-up for students who are underachievers in academic performance, personal and chronic absenteeism. This is to facilitate and understand their present status as students and find solutions to their problems. This service together with the PhilCST Alumni Association follow-up the employment status of graduates for possible assistance, as the case maybe. The graduates who have not yet passed the Board Examination are also invited to join the review classes conducted by the PhilCST for the different board examination, as per request.
7. REFERRAL
- The Guidance and Counseling Office of PhilCST forms linkages with Local Government Units (LGUs), Non - Government Offices (NGOs) and Government Offices (GOs) regarding co-curricular and extra-curricular activities that concerns with the students.
8. GUIDANCE RESEARCH AND EVALUATION
- Research and Evaluation are done for the benefit of students, the faculty members and the administration. absenteeism, dropping out and personal problems) are among the researchers being conducted. The results of these researchers will be the basis to formulate or enhance programs that will cater the needs of the students.
