POST-PANDEMIC: RECALIBRATED SELF-CARE FOR SELECTED STUDENTS
August 30, 2022, at 8:00 A.M. - 4:00 PM at Testing Center (Old Library)

-------------------------

Dearest selected students:

In the pursuit of a culture of excellence, the Bohol Island State University (BISU) – Calape Campus wishes to respond to the unique demands of the “New Normal.” Henceforth, this post-pandemic brought an impact on its transition, its uncertainty, and the stigma that affects the mental health of many persons as claimed by the World Health Organization (WHO).

An intervention is necessary for those who experience milder cases that include feelings of anxiety while engaging in activities outside of the home, and probably suffering from “cave syndrome” or who may experience isolation during the height of the pandemic. In some cases during counseling sessions of the Counselor, many expressed their sentiments on their feeling of being overwhelmed in these trying times and manifest a syndrome of depression. Thus, the BISU-Guidance Counselor will conduct this Post-Pandemic: Recalibrated Self-Care for Selected Students on August 30, 2022, at 8:00 A.M. - 4:00 PM at Testing Center (Old Library). Below are the Objectives:
1. To identify and ventilate one’s feelings and emotions thru creative activities and processing due to the Impact of the pandemic and the demands of the emerging culture of the “New Normal”;
2. To be aware of the implications of the “New Normal” and learn the ways of having positive responses and attitudes;
3. To appreciate the value of engaging with one another leading to a positive support system, a gender-sensitive attitude in order to promote one’s coping skills and resiliency;
4. To develop and commit to healthy psychological well-being;
5. To experience community-building activities.
Please bring a vaccination card, BISU ID, snacks, lunch, art materials, journal notebook & malong. Please be on time.

Your presence is highly appreciated. Thank you. God bless us all.

All the best,
MARIA DINA E. GOLOSINO, MA, RGC
