Today marks a meaningful beginning at Salong Elementary School as we officially launched the Aral Summer Reading and ARAL Math Program! 🎉

Our learners eagerly participated in the kick-off activity, showing excitement and readiness to enhance their reading and numeracy skills this summer. From engaging reading sessions to fun and interactive math activities.

This initiative aims to strengthen foundational skills while making learning enjoyable and meaningful for every child.

El Niño Alert issued ⚠️

DOST-PAGASA has officially raised its ENSO Alert and Warning System to El Niño Alert, following the high likelihood of its development in the coming months and possible persistence into early 2027. This may bring drier-than-usual conditions, including dry spells and droughts in parts of the country.

However, above-normal rainfall may still be experienced over the western sections during the Habagat season.

Today marks a proud and memorable milestone as we celebrate the success and achievements of our Grade 6 learners as they complete their elementary journey and prepare for a new chapter ahead.

Guided by this year’s theme, “𝙋𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝙉𝙖𝙜𝙨𝙞𝙥𝙖𝙜𝙩𝙖𝙥𝙤𝙨: 𝙃𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙈𝙖𝙢𝙪𝙣𝙤 𝙣𝙖𝙣𝙜 𝙈𝙖𝙮 𝙆𝙖𝙠𝙖𝙮𝙖𝙝𝙖𝙣 𝙖𝙩 𝙈𝙖𝙗𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙋𝙖𝙜𝙠𝙖𝙩𝙖𝙤”we honor the perseverance, hard work, and growth of our graduates who are now ready to face the challenges of the next level with confidence and strong values.

𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗘𝗦 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝗱𝘀 𝗦𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗦𝗕𝗠 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 2026

Salong Elementary School successfully carried out its School-Based Management (SBM) Assessment on March 18, 2026, marking another milestone in its commitment to quality and learner-centered education.

The activity was spearheaded by the school leadership, ensuring a systematic evaluation of the school’s SBM implementation. The assessment aimed to measure the school’s effectiveness in governance, curriculum delivery, and stakeholder engagement—key components in fostering continuous school improvement.

The School-Based Management (SBM) Assessment was formally presented by the School Head, Madam Elisa D. Pinohermoso, with the support of Madam Gemma E. Abrea, Master Teacher I. The presentation highlighted the school’s accomplishments, best practices, and areas for further development. The SBM framework consists of six dimensions, each with specific indicators and required Means of Verification (MOVs) that determine the school’s rating. The rating scale ranges from 1 to 4: 1 – Not Yet Manifested, 2 – Rarely Manifested, 3 – Frequently Manifested, and 4 – Always Manifested.

The process was guided by Sir Marcial M. Acha Jr., PSDS, whose presence provided valuable insights and ensured alignment with DepEd standards.

The activity was strengthened through the active participation of the school’s stakeholders, including:
