Subject: Tree Planting Activity of GS Graduating Students
The GS graduating students participated in a tree planting activity on May 23, 2026, at the Wawa Mangrove Protected Area in support of the core value of Divine Word College of Calapan on community involvement and environmental stewardship.
The activity aimed to nurture and protect our mother earth through the planting of mangrove trees. Mangroves play an important role in preserving the environment because they help protect coastal areas from flooding, soil erosion, and strong waves during storms. They also serve as habitats for fish and other marine life, improve water quality, and help reduce climate change by absorbing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.
Through this meaningful activity, the graduating students demonstrated unity, responsibility, and concern for nature while contributing to the protection and sustainability of our environment for future generations.
Congratulations to our candidates for graduation - Batch June 2026
