‎Our 1-Week Reading Enhancement Summer Program in Filipino and English has officially ended today. Our incoming Kinder, Grade 1, and Grade 2 learners enjoyed fun activities while improving their reading skills and learning new things.

‎Hello Canossians! It's the Feast of our Dear Mother Foundress, St. Magdalene of Canossa! We thank God for the gift of her life especially her vocation that led us to deepen our love and faith in God.
‎
‎Let's take a glance at her beautiful life story....
‎
Magdalene Gabriella of Canossa was born in Verona on March 1, 1774 of the noble family of the Marquises of Canossa. Since she became an orphan at a very young age, she matured in physical and moral suffering Deeply spiritual, she discerned her vocation with great fervour through prayer and the practice of the evangel ical virtues. In the midst of the sad social, political and ecclesial situation of her time and city, she initiated various works of charity for the uplifting of the poor and abandoned children. As she progressed in her spiritual life, she discovered in Christ Crucified the vital core of her spirituality and mission. Attentive to the needs of all people and of the Church she discovered, with sorrow, that "Christ is not loved because He is not known". To implement her ideal of evangelization and human pro-motion, she founded the Institute of the Daughters of Charity on May 8, 1808, and on May 23, 1831 that of the Sons of Charity. Magdalene of Canossa died in Verona on April 10, 1835. Pope Pius XII declared her blessed on December 7, 1941 and on October 2, 1988 Pope John Paul II proclaimed her a Saint.

‎May her story inspire us all the more to make Jesus known and loved and through her intercession, may our hearts set on fire with HIS LOVE!
