Meet Chef Arlix Nicer Blancaver of Batch Frantzen
Driven by passion, humility, and perseverance, Chef Arlix Nicer Blancaver, a student of the 1-Year Culinary Program at the Lyceum of the Philippines University Laguna Culinary Institute, continues to pursue his dream of becoming a chef who inspires others through food.
For Blancaver, being a champion chef is not measured solely by skill in the kitchen, but by humility and the willingness to continuously learn and grow. He believes that true culinary excellence comes from using oneโs talent as a responsibility to serve, inspire, and uplift others.
Behind his passion is the unwavering inspiration he draws from his family, especially his mother, who manages their family business. Their support and hard work became one of the driving forces that motivated him to pursue the culinary arts wholeheartedly.
Blancaver shared that witnessing people enjoy their experiences through food during large events inspired him even more to enter the culinary industry. Ever since discovering his passion for cooking, studying at Lyceum of the Philippines University Laguna Culinary Institute had always been his dream school.

This international recognition serves as a testament to Chef Palacolโs commitment to the Gold Standard of Culinary Education, proving that his expertise and leadership extend not only in local culinary education but also across international culinary and sustainability linkages.
Worldchefs is one of the supporting organizations of the World Food Forum Young Chefs Programme (YCP), a global initiative that empowers chefs aged 18 to 35 to become active contributors in building more sustainable and resilient agrifood systems. Through the program, each participant is paired with experienced mentors from the Worldchefs network to help advance advocacies centered on better nutrition, food security, biodiversity, and sustainable consumption.
