ORIENTATION FOR PRES CAMPUS JOURNALISTS

The newly selected campus journalists of Paciano Rizal Elementary School (PRES) gathered for their Orientation Program, marking the beginning of their journey as responsible, ethical, and passionate student journalists, July 2, 2026.

The orientation equipped our young writers with essential knowledge about campus journalism, their roles and responsibilities, journalistic ethics, and the exciting activities that await them throughout the school year. It also served as an opportunity to inspire them to become voices of truth, creativity, and positive change within our school community.

Paciano Rizal ES grounds were filled with cheers and excitement as the much-awaited Volleyball Tournament of the Intramurals took place. Players from different grade levels brought their best serves, sets, and spikes in a thrilling showcase of skill, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

After a series of intense rallies and close sets, Grade 6 emerged as the 1st Place, dominating the court with powerful spikes and solid defense. Their teamwork and communication proved to be their greatest strengths throughout the competition.

Grade 5 fought valiantly, earning 2nd Place with their quick reflexes and smart plays that kept their opponents on their toes.

Meanwhile, Grades 2, 3, and 4 impressed the crowd with their determination and fighting spirit, securing 3rd Place despite being up against taller, older and more experienced players. Their performance earned loud cheers and showed that the future of volleyball in PRES is bright.

Teachers, parents, and classmates applauded all the participants for displaying the true essence of the Intramuralsโ€”healthy competition, camaraderie, and school pride.

The volleyball event ended with lasting memories, new friendships, and the promise of even greater games in the future.

In the Boysโ€™ Division, Calvin Kiong outwitted his opponents with brilliant strategies, earning 1st Place and the title of champion. Angelo Anonuevo claimed 2nd Place with consistent and smart plays throughout the rounds, while John Clark Barba took 3rd Place, showcasing determination until the very last match.

The Girlsโ€™ Division was equally competitive. Kate Allison Brutas (Grade 6) emerged as the champion, using her keen foresight and quick thinking to outmaneuver her challengers. Bea Rose Arnigo (Grade 5) secured 2nd Place with impressive board control, while Czekiah Tolentino (Grade 4) earned 3rd Place, proving that skill knows no age.

Teachers and fellow students praised the young chess players for their discipline and mental sharpness. The event highlighted how chess, often called the โ€œgame of kings,โ€ continues to inspire learners to think critically and plan aheadโ€”both in the game and in life.

Paciano Rizal ES Intramurals 2025 Kick-Off with Fun, Friendship, and Fierce Competition

The vibrant colors of each grade levelโ€™s team banners filled the school grounds as Paciano Rizal Elementary School officially opened its Intramurals 2025 with a festive parade. Learners, teachers, and parents lined the route, cheering as athletes proudly marched, showcasing their unwavering school spirit.

The opening program set the tone for the dayโ€™s activities, with an inspiring message from the Ma'am Tamayao, encouraging students to compete with integrity and camaraderie.

One of the highlights of the ceremony was the presentation of the muses and escorts from each grade level. Dressed in creative and colorful sport outfits, the representatives wowed the audience with their poise and confidence, drawing loud cheers from their classmates.

Equally exciting was the yell presentation competition. Each grade level took turns delivering their energetic chants and choreographed moves, filling the covered court with booming voices and vibrant energy.

Grade 3 and Grade 6 hailed as the best yell performers.

After the formalities, the competitions began. Indoor games facilitated by school advisers. Laughter and friendly rivalry filled the air.

In the afternoon, nostalgic twist with Larong Pinoy in the covered court. Pupils eagerly joined traditional Filipino games like tug of war, sack race, hulugang panyo, and more, reminding everyone of the joy of simple, community-based play. Teachers and parents also joined in, adding to the festive spirit.

The cheers inside the Paciano Rizal Elementary School covered court reached a fever pitch as the Basketball Tournament of the Intramurals came to an exciting conclusion.

After the intense competition, Grade 6 proved their supremacy on the court, claiming 1st Place with their sharp shooting, solid defense, and unshakable teamwork. Their captainโ€™s leadership and the teamโ€™s well-timed plays sealed their championship win.

From the tip-off, both teams showcased determination and teamwork. Grade 4 displayed impressive defense, with quick steals and fast breaks that kept the game close.
