OPPORTUNITIES THAT CHANGED A LIFE: A SCHOLAR FROM NEGROS OCCIDENTAL SHARES HIS STORY OF CAREER DEVELOPMENT THROUGH SCHOLARSHIP AND DUAL TRAINING PROGRAM
After graduating from high school, Justin C. Lee, a scholar of the Negrense Dualtech Scholarship Program from the Provincial Government of Negros Occidental, applied to five universities and was able to pass two of them. However, he hesitated to continue due to his financial situation.
Justin later applied for a scholarship and was accepted as a Dualtech scholar. This opportunity became a turning point in his life, allowing him to pursue technical education and training.
Justin was deployed at Ibiden Philippines, Inc. as an Equipment Maintenance trainee. Through the guidance of his workmates—many of whom were Dualtech graduates—he gradually learned how to perform his tasks properly and improve his performance. Now more skilled, confident, and disciplined, he credits Dualtech for shaping him not only technically but also personally—teaching him responsibility, professionalism, and respect for others.
