Ms. Shyre Ann Buling, our CLE Teacher and a candidate for the Master in Religious Education (4-year master’s degree) at the Formation Institute for Religious Educators (FIRE), Ateneo de Manila University, has successfully completed significant academic milestones in her graduate studies. She passed her comprehensive examinations on April 11 and April 18, 2026 (written and oral examinations), and successfully defended her capstone project on April 25, 2026, titled “DA MIHI ANIMAS, CAETERA TOLLE: Living the Salesian Mission in Religious Education,” after which her manuscript was finalized. The commencement exercises of the Ateneo de Manila University-FIRE Department were held on May 17, 2026, and she is scheduled to participate in the university graduation exercises next month.

Today, 16 May 2026, our Early Grades Teachers together with the Guidance Team are attending the meaningful seminar “Inclusive Spaces, Strong Minds” at AMSI Doctors Medical Center.

Dr. Joel Lazaro, Developmental Pediatrician and Psychologist Dr. Jethro Cruz are currently discussing student well-being and the vital role of educators in supporting children with learning difficulties. This seminar continues to inspire educators to create inclusive spaces that nurture stronger minds, brighter futures, and compassionate learning communities.

We are proud of our teachers who continuously seek opportunities to learn, grow, and become better instruments of guidance and support for every child.

Divine Providence always finds its way to help deserving but needy youth who wish to study here in MHCC. Thanks to the individuals and groups that make up the Mother Emilia Mosca Scholarship Grant, and the effort of the ECCG for its Student Fund Assistance Program, 31 BMH have been given tuition fee discounts for the coming school year. As a return of gratitude, both BMH scholars and their parents will be rendering service to the EC to the best of their abilities. With all these efforts, St. Paul's words to the Thessalonians resonate: "In fact, when we were with you, we instructed you that if anyone was unwilling to work, neither should that one eat" (2 Thess. 3:10).

The MHCC Educating Community proudly celebrates our three Salesian educators who successfully passed the Licensure Examination for Teachers 2026! Your hard work, perseverance, and love for the teaching vocation have truly paid off. We are blessed to have you in our MHCC educating community.

This famous quote from Mother Mazzarello became the central theme of the homily given by Fr. Roger Miranda, SDB, our school chaplain for SY 2025-2026. He encouraged everyone present to love the young just as Mother Mazzarello and Don Bosco did. Drawing from the Gospel image of Jesus as the True Vine and the symbol of the Paschal Candle, he exhorted everyone to live the Salesian Family Spirit so that the young may be attracted to a life pleasing to God. He shared his hope that by the end of their stay at MHCC, they will go into the world as good Christians and honest citizens!

Happy Feast Day of St. Maria Domenica Mazzarello!

As we celebrate the Solemnity of our dear Mother Co-Foundress, let us get to know her more and pray that our Educating Community may remain cheerfully holy in the Heart of Jesus. We also pray for more vocations to the FMA and to the other members of the Salesian Family, so that the spirit of Mornese and Valdocco may continue to spread wherever Jesus and the Gospel are not yet known.

The Volleyball and Taekwondo sessions start today, while the sessions for Drums, Dance, Public Speaking, and Badminton will also start the following days.

We also offer other enrichment programs, and we are still accepting BMH and non-BMH enrollees.
