In observance of Ninoy Aquino Day, classes and office operations at LPU Laguna will be suspended on Friday, August 21, 2026.

Classes will resume on Saturday, August 22, 2026, while regular office operations will resume on Monday, August 24, 2026.

𝐓𝐲𝐩𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐦𝐚𝐲 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐫𝐮𝐩𝐭𝐬 𝐋𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐠 𝐏𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐚

Due to inclement weather brought by Typhoon Maymay, the Laguna local government suspended classes, resulting to the postponement of activities for the annual three-day welcoming program for freshmen Lyceans.

Ria Gelasin, officer-in-charge of Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS), announced via official communication channels with student leaders that the scheduled Indayog Pirata will be rescheduled to later date.

“The event was rescheduled after considering the suspension of classes, the current weather conditions and forecast, the safety of all participants, the potential impact on attendance and logistics, and the need to ensure the successful and smooth conduct of the event,” Gelasin answered in a VOYAGE interview.

The decision was determined through deliberation with representatives from student councils and recognized student organizations in consideration with Sail-O-Salo, the student organizations’ booth competition.

According to Gelasin, the new schedule of the postponed activities will still be determined depending on the availability of the event suppliers and guest performers. OSAS said that an official announcement will be released once all event arrangements are finalized.

Due to the sudden suspension of classes tomorrow and the continuous heavy rainfall, 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆𝗼𝗴 𝗣𝗶𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗮 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗮 𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲.
