The study “Horenso as a Professional Habit: Shapes Tomorrow’s Teacher” by our esteemed Program Chair, Ma'am Alaiza B. Angeles, LPT, MAEd, has earned a spot in the Rank 100 of the World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI) under the AI-Based Teaching and Learning Transformation category. This recognition reflects the program’s commitment to developing forward-thinking and globally competitive future educators.

In line with this achievement, the Teacher Education Program continuously reaches greater heights in preparing aspiring educators for the evolving landscape of education not only for today’s classrooms, but also for the future of education.

Smiles, tears, and sweet moments were shared on Monday, May 4, as the Alliance of Educators held a surprise farewell party for its seniors themed "Boarding Pass to Success." The room was full of happy memories as students and teachers gathered to celebrate the graduating class. While there was plenty of laughter during the party, many felt a bit sad knowing this was their last big event together.

The party was a chance to say thank you to the seniors for all their hard work. Tokens and foods were handed out as part of thr celebration. Even though it was time to say goodbye, everyone knew it was also an exciting start. These future teachers are now ready to leave the classroom as students and enter their own classrooms as leaders.

As Maya Angelou said – I encourage you to live with life. Be courageous, adventurous. Give us a tomorrow, more than we deserve. To our graduating future teachers, may the odds be with you; we wish you success in every way!

The panel – Dr. Willie Buñag, CASED Dean, Mrs. Alaiza Angeles, LPT, MAEd, Program Chair, and Mrs. Jennalyn Argete, LPT, MAEd, PhD (CAR) – guided these future educators in bringing their research to life. ❣️

On Thursday, April 30, the First Year students of UPHSD-C Teacher Education Program held a Demonstration Teaching for the course Technology for Teaching and Learning 1, preparing themselves for an exciting path towards the academe. 🙌🏻

Through creative presentations and the integration of educational technologies, the students showcased their ability to deliver engaging and learner-centered instruction. Each demonstration reflected not only their understanding of teaching strategies but also their growing confidence in managing a classroom environment.

This activity served as a foundation for their future teaching journey, allowing them to practice, reflect, and improve their skills at an early stage. As they continue to learn and grow, these aspiring educators take one step closer to becoming effective and inspiring teachers in the field. 💌

𝐑𝐨𝐚𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐨𝐚𝐫𝐝: 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞, 𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐇𝐨𝐩𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐞𝐬𝐭 🎓

On Wednesday, April 22, the Alliance of Educators held an Enrichment Program entitled “Road to the Board: Preparing Future Educators for Success” with Dr. Francis A. Jastillana. Aspiring teachers were taken on a meaningful journey into what the Licensure Examination for Teachers is like and how to effectively master the art of reviewing. 📖

Through a series of recommended strategies, mock tests, and a guided review session, Dr. Jastillana helped sharpen the students’ minds and prepare them to aim higher in their board exam journey. He also inspired the crowd by expressing his hope of producing a topnotcher from among them – manifesting a first for the UPHSD-C Teacher Education Program.

With renewed motivation and clearer direction, the future educators left the session more confident and determined than ever. This experience served as a reminder that success in the boards begins with preparation, discipline, and the belief that they are capable of achieving their dreams. 🌟
