Public speaking is a stage so bright that we can share our thoughts and shine our light. My greatest love is the sky, and my long-term career goal is to become a flight attendant. However, I understand the importance of a solid foundation. Before pursuing my dream, I plan to complete a degree in hotel and restaurant management. This will provide me with essential skills and experience in the hospitality industry, enabling me to build a stable career and save for my future aspirations. In the meantime, I'm passionate about using my love for language and communication to make a positive impact. I enjoy writing, public speaking, and performing spoken word poetry. I believe these skills will be invaluable in my future career, whether it's in aviation or another field. I'm excited to continue exploring my interests and developing my abilities, and I'm confident that my dedication and perseverance will help me achieve my goals.
To soar through the skies as a flight attendant, I'll need a strong foundation of 21st-century skills. Effective communication, problem-solving, adaptability, and emotional intelligence are paramount for building rapport with passengers and ensuring a smooth flight. Technical skills, such as first aid, CPR, language proficiency, and, of course, basic computer skills, will help me manage passenger information and flight documentation. By honing these skills, I'm confident in my ability to provide exceptional service and make every flight a memorable experience.
MHCC has played a crucial role in developing these skills. By participating in public speaking contests and engaging in various performances and activities, I've gained valuable experience in effective communication, problem-solving, and teamwork. These experiences have not only boosted my confidence but also honed my ability to think critically and adapt to different situations.

I am Catherine Ann Paguio, a Grade 11 STEM student at Mary Help of Christians College Canlubang. I do love reading and writing as I have a great interest in science and human life. Along with this, my career goal in life aligns with medicine and science, specifically nursing.
Being a nurse means facing a lot of patients daily which demand good communication skills - a 21st century skill, in order to communicate important information and assess the medical situation. Hence, communication skills and collaborative skills are vital in this field to provide appropriate medical assessment and intervention.
The MHCC helps me gain these necessary skills, through various disciplines and subjects such as PSEP lessons and speaking programs that guided me from being a beginner until I became a proficient communicator. Thus, those lessons and programs also helped me to gain self confidence to ensure that I can communicate efficiently and effectively in assessing medical situations in the future.
