In line with its continuing commitment to innovation and modernization, the National Fire Training Institute (NFTI) successfully conducted the Hybrid Orientation-Workshop on the Use of the ONE-PPSC (NFTI) Digital ID System under the leadership of 𝐅𝐒𝐒𝐔𝐏𝐓 𝐂𝐇𝐑𝐈𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐄 𝐃 𝐂𝐔𝐋𝐀, 𝐌𝐏𝐒𝐀, NFTI Director. The activity brought together all NFTI personnel—both uniformed and non-uniformed—as well as personnel from its satellite and off-campus training centers through the Webex platform, demonstrating the Institute’s collective commitment to embracing digital transformation.

The orientation-workshop was facilitated by 𝐅𝐎𝟑 𝐉𝐨𝐞 𝐌𝐜 𝐋𝐢𝐞𝐧 𝐆 𝐅𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐧, who provided a comprehensive discussion on the features, functions, and practical applications of the NFTI Digital ID System. Participants were guided on how to effectively utilize and maximize the system’s capabilities, enabling seamless access to institutional services and digital resources. An open forum was also conducted, allowing participants to raise clarifications, share insights, and offer recommendations for further enhancements to the system. This collaborative exchange ensured that the platform remains responsive to the needs of its users and continues to evolve through valuable stakeholder feedback.

As one of the flagship initiatives under the NFTI Digitalization Program, the ONE-PPSC (NFTI) Digital ID System reflects the Institute’s dedication to leveraging technology to improve operational efficiency, accessibility, and service delivery. Through initiatives such as this, NFTI continues to cultivate a culture of innovation and adaptability, strengthening its vision of becoming a modern, connected, and future-ready institution committed to excellence in public safety training and education.

The National Fire Training Institute (NFTI), under the direction of FSSUPT CHRISTINE D CULA, MPSA, joins the nation in the observance of Pride Month this June, highlighting the importance of gender diversity, inclusion, and respect for sexual orientation, gender identity, and expression.

In support of Republic Act No. 9710, otherwise known as the Magna Carta of Women, NFTI continues to promote gender equality and inclusivity through the institutionalization of a Gender and Development (GAD) Corner in both physical and digital spaces. This initiative serves as a platform for information, education, and advocacy, fostering a workplace culture that values dignity, respect, and equal opportunities for all.

Demonstrating discipline, professionalism, and a keen eye for detail, the trainees of Foxtrot Company underwent a Rank Inspection conducted by the National Fire Training Institute Region V Satellite Campus. The activity was carried out under the leadership of FSSUPT CHRISTINE DOCTOR-CULA, MPSA, NFTI Director, and the direct supervision of SFO1 Jeff Anthony O Abellar, Overall Learning Manager.

The Rank Inspection was facilitated by the Tactical Non-Commissioned Officers, FO2 Jean Clarence D Lorena, FO2 Ester R Basaysay, and FO1 Judyth T Jimenez, who carefully assessed each trainee based on established inspection standards.

The inspection served as a vital component of the training program, ensuring that all trainees maintain the highest standards of uniformity, bearing, and professional appearance expected of future members of the Bureau of Fire Protection. This activity aims to ensure proper wearing of ranks, adherence to uniform standards, and maintenance of grooming and bearing expected of every firefighter trainee.

During the first flag-raising ceremony following their recent recognition, Fire Trainee Hero Dela Rosa, Troop Information and Education (TI&E) Speaker, reminded his fellow trainees that the honor they received is not the culmination of their journey but a stepping stone toward greater achievements and responsibilities. He emphasized that the recognition reflects the class’ dedication, perseverance, and collective effort throughout their training.

“This recognition is not the end of our journey,” Dela Rosa shared. “It is a reminder of our potential and a motivation to continue striving for excellence. Let this achievement inspire us to work even harder, aim higher, and remain committed to the values that brought us here.” His words resonated with the members of CL “SARAG-TALAS,” encouraging them to remain humble in success, resilient in challenges, and committed to continuous growth. As they move forward in their training, the recognition stands as both an honor and a challenge—to sustain their momentum, uphold the highest standards of professionalism, and dedicate themselves wholeheartedly to the noble mission of public service.

𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐜𝐢𝐨𝐧, Chief of the Personnel and Records Section of the National Fire Training Institute (NFTI), at the PPSC Head Office. Throughout her distinguished career, NUP Resurreccion demonstrated dedication and excellence in the performance of her duties, helping strengthen personnel management and records administration within NFTI. The gathering served as a testament to the unity, camaraderie, and shared commitment of the DILG family in upholding excellence in public service and nation-building.

The ceremony was highlighted by the Troop Information and Education message delivered by 𝐄𝐍𝐆𝐑. 𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐋 𝐎. 𝐈𝐆𝐋𝐄𝐒𝐈𝐀, 𝐂𝐄𝐒𝐎 𝐈𝐈𝐈, Regional Director of DILG CALABARZON. In his address, he emphasized the importance of public trust, integrity, and professionalism among government personnel, reminding everyone that public service is measured not by recognition or accolades, but by the positive impact made in the lives of the people they serve. He further underscored the responsibility of every public servant to uphold ethical standards and remain steadfast in their commitment to serving the public with honor and accountability.

As the nation approaches the celebration of Philippine Independence Day, the activity also served as a timely reminder of the enduring legacy of freedom and the collective duty of every government worker to protect and uphold the values for which it was won.
