Jose Rizal Memorial School Campaign on Character Education Tenacity Club (JRMS CaChET Club) planted 29 mahogany tree saplings at Mt. Makiling, Los BaΓ±os on April 11, 2022 as per the club’s Tree Planting and Community Service Program.

There were 13 students, 10 parent-guardians, and 8 teachers, together with the school principal Dr. Gervacio de Guzman, who participated in the said activity.

β€œAlam niyo, sabi ng mga adviser ninyo, β€˜Sir, pwede po ba kaming magtanim?’, aba tuwang-tuwa ako. Wala akong pag-alinlangan, oo kaagad”, Dr. de Guzman opened the program.

According to the JRMS CaChET Club President Johnna Mago, the program aimed to illuminate the significance of trees in the community and to offer a personal tree-planting experience, especially to the student participants.

Mago also mentioned that the activity will initiate the passion for tree conservation within the attendees.

β€œMay the enthusiasm be engraved within the souls of everyone participating. Given that, be not afraid and let us share this wonderful experience with our friends and families to involve a greater mass”, she underlined in her statement for activity purpose.

Meanwhile, the program was hosted by Club Member Keensolen Dela Ysla, along with Club Public Relations Officer (PRO) Kris Yason Caguimbal who gave the statement on the value of trees.

In addition, Club members Ezrah Hibek and Edron Catindig led the prayers.

The event ended with JRMS CaChET Focal Person Rowena Gecale’s remarks, together with Mirage Caraig’s closing prayer.

Furthermore, Sta. Rosa Lions Club sponsored the participants’ snacks, in which the club expressed regards.

The activity was executed as the participants followed the pandemic’s safety precautions throughout the implementation.
