Your feelings are valid. Your story matters. Healing isnโt always a straight path โ and thatโs okay. ๐ค๏ธ
Letโs take a moment to remind ourselves and others that mental health is just as important as physical health. Be kind to your mind, and to those around you. You never know who might be fighting a silent battle behind their smile. ๐ญ

Despite the unexpected weather forecast and class suspension, our seminar still turned out to be a meaningful and successful event. ๐ง๏ธโก๏ธ๐ค๏ธ
We were reminded through a short lecture that bullying is never okayโevery hurtful word or action leaves a mark, and standing against it matters. ๐ If you ever find yourself being bullied, donโt stay silent. Reach out to the right people who can guide and help you. Every action matters, and kindness always wins. ๐ธ
We also touched on a very important topic: su***de prevention. Remember, your life is precious, and there are people who care deeply about you. Never carry the weight aloneโhelp is always within reach. ๐
๐ก "Be the reason someone believes in goodness, kindness, and hope."

In our daily lives, the way information is shown to us affects how we think, feel, and make choices. This idea is called framing, and it plays an important role in shaping our decisions.
Framing in psychology is the presentation of information that can influence people's thinking and decision-making. It originated from the work of psychologists Daniel Kahneman and Amos Tversky in the 1980s, who discovered that people react differently to the same information depending on how it is framed.
Positive framing, which focuses on benefits or gains, can make people feel hopeful and more willing to take risks, while negative framing, which focuses on losses or dangers, can make people feel afraid or cautious. Advertisers, politicians, and media often use framing to influence how people think or behave.
To avoid being tricked by framing, focus on the facts and ask yourself if the message would feel different if it were phrased differently. Double-check information from trusted sources and take time to reflect before making decisions. Being aware of your emotions can help avoid reacting impulsively to framing.
Teaching others to question how information is presented and focus on the facts can make them less vulnerable to framing, and open conversations about what's really going on can encourage more balanced thinking.

HAPPY FRIDAY PSYCH MATESโค ITS THAT TIME OF THE WEEK WHEN WE DEBUNK ABOUT "WEAR RED TO ATTRACT A MATE"๐ฉโโ๏ธ
What is Red, and how it affects our emotions?
Red attracts the most attention and is associated with strong emotions, such as love, passion, and anger. Itโs the universal color to signify strength, power, courage, and danger. Red is vibrant, stimulating and exciting with a strong link to sexuality and increased appetites.
Red is energizing and exciting, motivating us to act. It can also give confidence to those who are shy or lacking in willpower.
Itโs warm and positive, generally associated with our most physical needs and our will to survive. It exudes a strong and powerful masculine energy. It enhances metabolism, increases respiration rate, and raises blood pressure.
Wear red to energize the group or the meeting but in smaller patches of the outfit, such as a blouse or scarf. It also does wonders to uplift your mood in a dark green, grey, black and navy basic ensemble. Red ties are also favored by politicians as part of the red and blue tie partnership they wear with everything.
A little can go a long way, however, and in large areas red can cause visual strain. Wearing it too much, too often can brand you as a person in charge, but also as a bossy person.
"WEAR READ TO ATTRACT A MATE"
Several studies have reported that men rate women wearing red as sexier and more attractive than women wearing other colors, something that scientists have spun into a โJust So Storyโ about how our primate ancestors advertised their sexual availability. But in a 2016 paper in Evolutionary Psychology scientists described three experiments with 800 young men (vs. two dozen in the original study) finding no such effect. Lesson: Even if there is a weak red effect, itโs a relatively unimportant influence on how we judge potential partnersโcertainly long-term ones, but even one-night stands.
Itโs easy to become cynical about psychology, or at least the exciting results that the media pick up. The general point is not that the original, dubious claims are wrong. They might beโheck, they probably areโtrue for some people. Some of us likely do feel bolder in a power stance. Maybe believing that it can transform your life in a good way produces changes for the good that bring that about. For if there is one psychological effect that has stood the test of time, and countless replications, it is the placebo effect: that believing in the power of something can make it so. At least for some people, a little or a lot, in some circumstances some of the time.

Echoic memory is a kind of memory that helps us remember sounds for a very short time after we hear them. When someone speaks or thereโs a noise, our brain keeps an "echo" of the sound for a few seconds, even after itโs gone.
This quick memory helps us understand speech and follow conversations because it lets us hear and piece together words, even if we didnโt catch them perfectly the first time.
For example, if someone asks, "Did you hear what I just said?" and you can repeat it, thatโs your echoic memory working. It holds onto the sound just long enough for you to process it.
Echoic memory is especially useful in conversations because it helps us follow speech and understand the order of sounds, even if they are spoken at different speeds or loudness. It allows us to connect sounds into clear words and sentences.
