𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘢 𝘸𝘦𝘦𝘬! Went around campus recently for 𝐖𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐤 and its nice seeing every section game to flex their personal tumblers for the camera. 🍶

Bringing a tumbler isn't just for the flex, it actually helps us avoid buying so many plastic cups at the canteen. Plus, it forces us to drink water, lalo na at 'di nauubos 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗮𝘀𝗸𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻!! 💃🕺

📦Separate your papers into 𝙩𝙬𝙤 𝙙𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙘𝙩 𝙗𝙤𝙭𝙚𝙨, one just for 𝐰𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐩𝐚𝐩𝐞𝐫 and another for 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐩𝐚𝐩𝐞𝐫.
🏷Make sure every box is clearly 𝙡𝙖𝙗𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙙 with your 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐧𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐥𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥.
🍃Only include 𝙙𝙧𝙮, 𝙘𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙣, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙪𝙣𝙨𝙤𝙞𝙡𝙚𝙙 𝙥𝙖𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙨. Please, no plastic wrappers or random trash mixed in!

🗓 𝐉𝐔𝐍𝐄 - 𝐉𝐔𝐋𝐘

𝘚𝘰, 𝘸𝘩𝘺 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘸𝘦 𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘴𝘦 𝘯𝘶𝘮𝘣𝘦𝘳𝘴?

Our electricity usage literally 𝗱𝗼𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗱 from June to July. The real issue here isn't just the bill, it's the environmental impact. Our July consumption alone produced almost 𝟱 𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐠𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐬. To offset that, we would need to plant 𝟐𝟐𝟗 𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐬 just to cover a single month! 🌳💨

We obviously can't plant a whole forest right now, but we can easily take action inside our own classrooms to lessen our footprint, 🌬️ 𝗧𝘂𝗿𝗻 𝗼𝗳𝗳 𝗳𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 kapag lalabas for recess, lunch, or uwian, 🔌 𝘂𝗻𝗽𝗹𝘂𝗴 classroom TVs and extension cords when not in use, and make sure to ☀️ 𝗺𝗮𝘅𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 kapag maaliwalas naman sa labas by opening the curtains.

𝘐𝘴 𝘪𝘯𝘥𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘢𝘭 "𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘴" 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘩 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘥𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘩 𝘰𝘧 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘮𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘦 𝘴𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘴?

Last 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱, 𝘉𝘢𝘪𝘴 𝘉𝘢𝘺 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘛𝘢ñ𝘰𝘯 𝘚𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘵 woke up to an absolute environmental nightmare when over 𝟐𝟓𝟓,𝟎𝟎𝟎 𝐜𝐮𝐛𝐢𝐜 𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐨𝐱𝐢𝐜 𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐥 𝐰𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞 water poured into our protected seas. Instead of thriving reefs and clear waters, our ecosystem was aggressively choked by a dark, hazardous sludge that wiped out marine life and completely smothered underwater habitats.🪸🚮

𝘉𝘶𝘵 𝘸𝘩𝘰 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘱𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘤𝘰𝘳𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘨𝘦𝘵 𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘴? Almost overnight, thousands of local fisherfolk were robbed of their daily catch, leaving coastal families to face sudden economic ruin. As students, we refuse to just scroll past this tragedy and forget. We must demand strict accountability and fight to restore our oceans 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗿𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲!🛑✊

Every 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝟮𝟴, we observe 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐃𝐚𝐲 to raise awareness about protecting our planet and its natural resources. This event acknowledges that a healthy environment is the true foundation for a 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐭𝐲. With nearly 𝟴 𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 on Earth using up resources at a rapid pace, it is incredibly important that we educate ourselves about conservation. 👥♻️

The 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘯𝘦𝘸𝘴 is that there are simple ways to 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙚 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙖𝙡 𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙘𝙚𝙨 right now. As students, we can easily go digital instead of printing things on paper, shut off lights when leaving a room, and volunteer for community cleanups. If everyone does their part, our planet's natural resources will be available for 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞.

🚨𝐏𝐚𝐱 𝐒𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚: 𝘈𝘵 𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘊𝘰𝘴𝘵?🚨

At first glance, Pax Silica is a massive AI and semiconductor hub proposed for New Clark City. It sounds like a major tech upgrade. But as students and earth advocates, we have to look past the hype and ask "At what cost?"

Here is why environmental groups and the youth are raising the alarm:

💧 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗗𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻: The facility would consume millions of liters of water daily. This competes directly with the basic needs of local communities.

⛰️ 𝗧𝗼𝘅𝗶𝗰 𝗪𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲: Processing local minerals for computer chips creates heavy industrial waste that could harm our ecosystems.

🌳 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲𝘀: It takes over our land, a massive 1,620 hectares, and extracts our natural wealth to secure foreign economic interests. This leaves Filipinos to deal with the environmental fallout.

Economic growth is important, but it should not mean sacrificing our planet or our people.
