In a heartwarming ceremony, Calamba City Science Integrated School (CCSIS) took a significant step towards enhancing the educational experience of its students by distributing learner's kits. The event, held on August 8, witnessed the enthusiastic participation of selected students who eagerly received their kits. Mrs. Christine Abenojar, Teacher-in-Charge, set the tone with her inspiring opening remarks, emphasizing the importance of education and the role these kits would play in supporting the learners' academic journey.
Dr. Merthel Evardome, Schools Division Superintendent of DepEd Calamba City, graced the occasion and addressed the students. Her words resonated with encouragement, urging the learners to make the best use of the supplies and to remain dedicated to their studies. Dr. Evardome's presence underscored the commitment of the education department to providing necessary resources to foster a conducive learning environment.
Mayor Ross Rizal of Calamba City reaffirmed the local government's dedication to the well-being of its young citizens. Assuring the students of continued support, Mayor Rizal announced plans to institute a monthly stipend for CCSIS students, further alleviating the financial burden on families striving to provide quality education for their children.
As the program reached its conclusion, a distribution of learner's kits was carried out, symbolizing the tangible support being extended to the students. The chosen participants expressed their gratitude and excitement for the resources that would undoubtedly enhance their learning experiences. However, it is important to note that this event marks just the beginning of the efforts to provide for all learners at CCSIS. The remaining students are set to receive their kits during the upcoming Brigada Eskwela event, showcasing a holistic and community-driven approach to education.
Mr. Nelfren Sambalod, the Adopt-a-School Coordinator of CCSIS, extended his heartfelt appreciation to Mayor Ross Rizal for spearheading this initiative. Through his words, he emphasized the profound impact such collaborative efforts have on nurturing young minds and supporting the growth of a well-rounded generation.
The distribution of learner's kits at Calamba City Science Integrated School serves as a beacon of hope and support, demonstrating the unwavering commitment of educators, local government, and the community at large to provide students with the tools they need to thrive academically and beyond.
