With the theme โSafe, Inclusive, and Caring School for Every Filipino Child,โ Camastilisan Elementary School joined the observance of National School Safety Week on October 12, 2026, through a School Safety Week Orientation promoting a safe, inclusive, and child-friendly learning environment.
The program highlighted the importance of childrenโs rights, bullying prevention, protection against violence and gender-based harassment, responsible digital citizenship, disaster preparedness, fire safety, health and hygiene, and proper reporting and referral mechanisms. Learners were also reminded of the importance of seeking help from trusted adults and practicing โSTOP, THINK, TELLโ for online safety.
A significant highlight was the launching of the โMy Buddy System,โ promoting peer support, vigilance, and the value of looking after one another under the message: โSama-Sama, Ligtas, at Walang Maiiwan!โ ๐ค๐
The school also recognized the support and shared commitment of School Principal II Randelo C. Diaz, SDRRM Coordinator Mary Rose C. Cabrera [PDO], School Counselor Associate Niandra Kaye M. Namuco, the teachers, learners, parents, and partner agencies and stakeholders from the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Philippine National Police (PNP), and Barangay.
The activity culminated in the Oath of the Entire Community for a Safer School and the ceremonial signing of the School Safety Commitment Wall, symbolizing everyoneโs dedication to protecting children and preventing bullying, violence, and discrimination.
School safety is everyoneโs responsibility. Through unity, awareness, preparedness, and compassion, we can build a school where every child feels safe, respected, included, and cared for, not only during School Safety Week, but every day.
