Pedro A. Paterno Memorial Elementary School conducted a “No to Dengue Campaign” to promote awareness and encourage everyone in the school community to help prevent the spread of dengue. The activity focused on keeping the school surroundings clean and free from possible breeding places of mosquitoes that may carry the dengue virus.

As part of the campaign, pupils, parents, ,SPTA,SELG officers, and YES-O officers worked together in cleaning the school surroundings. They collected scattered waste, removed unnecessary materials, cleaned drainage areas, and checked areas where stagnant water could accumulate. The pupils actively participated in the activity with the guidance of their teachers and the support of their parents and student organizations.

The activity also served as an opportunity to remind pupils about the importance of cleanliness, proper waste disposal, and maintaining a healthy environment. Everyone was encouraged to practice simple preventive measures such as removing stagnant water and keeping surroundings clean to minimize possible mosquito breeding areas.

The campaign was further strengthened through the misting and fogging activity conducted by the City Health Office, under the leadership of Dr. Sharon Ona. The health personnel conducted the activity around the school premises as an additional preventive measure against mosquitoes. The combined efforts of the school community and the City Health Office demonstrated the importance of teamwork and bayanihan in protecting the health and safety of every learner and member of the school community.

The school administration, faculty and staff, SPTA and HPTA officers, all parents, and other volunteers were also acknowledged for their valuable support and active participation in the campaign. Their cooperation and commitment greatly contributed to the success of the activity. Special recognition was also given to Sir Sherwin Comia for his assistance and support in the implementation of the campaign.

Through the No to Dengue Campaign, Pedro A. Paterno Memorial Elementary School continues to promote a clean, safe, healthy, and dengue-free learning environment for all Paterno learners.

PART 2
ESCODA CAMP 2026: Leading On, Carrying the Legacy, Leading the Future

“Leading On: Girl Scouts Carrying Our Legacy, Leading the Future.”

Mabuhay ang Girl Scouts of Pedro A. Paterno Memorial Elementary School!
